Hi
I saw you and then I remembered the dragon art I made out of the blue
Anyways hru
eh, stressed. Am moving rn so lot of things happening at once. but hey I'll make it I'm sure. But anyway, It's good to hear from you Stellar! ♥ How are you??
Hoping everything will calm down for you soon!
I am doing fine. So many exams and tests to do. But at least I have a new phone. My old one broke spontaneously
I’m sure it will. Just have to tough it out.
Dang that sucks. I lost my old phone by dropping it between a bunch of rocks on the coastline. Couldn’t get it back out. :/
phone I’ve got right now has a terrible battery and dies so fast it’s ridiculous. XD

Realized I promised dragon art, but never delivered on that promise because I kept thinking 'oh i don't have any dragons to post." which wasn't true, i've got several. we'll start with this fella. This is Donatello :D, a dragon-ized version of one of my other characters. He breathes lightning. [Also have been trying to actually make more detailed designs, and worked on practicing scales.]
Well...That was fun while it lasted...
I've been putting this off for quite a while now, mainly because I feel pretty guilty about it. :/ I've pretty much lost all interest in the TSAMS dragon AU I made.
I'm putting this here to say that I'm officially dropping the AU entirely. there wont be any more real lore or story added to it. :c The decline in interest or motivation really started when I started to lose interest in the show. honestly they should've ended the show a long time ago. now they're just dragging it on and on and on...
another reason I'm dropping it is there was so much to work on for the AU that I'd started...but never finished. like the different dragon species info pages, lore, storylines, timelines, etc.
and I've got another project that I've been working on for at least 6+ years, that I love so much more than the dragon AU. this doesn't mean that I'll stop drawing dragons all together. Actually I've got a few I'd love to share. However they will not be TSAMS related.
I'm sorry to all of you that followed me for the TSAMS dragons. but there will be very little to no continuation of their story or AU. :/ I might do art of them randomly, but that's mainly because I still like the designs. :) though I might update them a bit.
Another reason I'm dropping the AU is because I genuinely don't remember where I was going with the Story or lore. T^T I never wrote it down, then I got busy with life in general, and just....forgot about it. Honestly if one of you wants to pick up the AU and continue it, feel free to do so. You're still free to ask questions about it, but I can't give much info on the story aside from what is already on my blog here. I can answer most personality questions, and I'll even post the info pages I did manage to get done if asked.
I will still be posting art, But It wont be TSAMS related. may not even be dragons sometimes. but eh, who knows.
But uhh...yeah that's all I wanted to say really. Hope yall have a good rest of your day/night! ♥
I would like to apologize to every single one of my wips ever
Yo. A question
How do you usually design your dragons and come up with lore for em?
I want to challenge myself to turn my ocs in dragons to practice drawing them and I realised I don't really know how to make their designs lol
the lore part was a mixture of things happening in the show, things I would've changed about the show, and just whatever I could come up with that seemed to fit the setting of the AU well enough. [Imma be real with ya here Stellar, I just winged it when it came to the lore XD]
I hope you can read all this. but another example I can think of would be Nexus. Some of the reblogs have more info in the tags of Nexus's post. but really the reason I made Nexus so unhealthy looking with torn up wings was because he was in the dragon fighting rings, and the unhealthy part came from the fact that in the Show, nexus cared little to none about his health, even as it declined. I hope this helps. ♥ [But really, I can't give you a perfect answer, because 90% of it was just a design i liked for the character, and straight up winging it.]
HI! I want to see baby dragons, please! Can we see Sun, Moon, Lunar, Nexus, Earth, and Solar interacting in the same nest? Nothing canon, just fan service of adorable babies
Putting Nexus in the same nest as Moon probably wasn't a good idea. XD the other four at least get a little entertainment. [Also I had to Alter Lunar and Solar's hatchling designs a little to match their species info pages. which i shamefully have yet to post. :( ]
@seabrightsdragons so guess who locked in? im very eepy rn so I took the idea of your pose to show off the body patterns but Ill prob change it. Eventually
Anyways meet Prismatic Shell. The runt of his pod that was abandoned because his egg wouldn't hatch. As much as it pained his mother. It also why he has split fins. It doesn't affect him in any way aside from making his fins look more terrifying. Right now he's a barely older than a young adult
He got raised and taught by different pods of Tide Wraths who tolerated him long enough to give knowledge and teach skills He was a vendetta against dragon poachers and hunter. He sinks and destroys the ships w them like mad. That's why he's called a sea terror. Not many Tide Wraiths are outright this aggressive. He's not even playing. He's demolishing loll
In terms of personality, he's pretty grumpy and sarcastic. But he's friendly enough with other dragons to have a less cannibalistic diet. He sometimes has small dragons and scavengers looking for prey in exchange for some gossip or smth or trinkets for his hoard
Idk how he would meet and ally w Eclipse if youre still up for that idea though
Oh my god he's absolutely beautiful! and such a pretty name! :D I love all the little info's you gave about him! I'm sure Eclipse would love this guy, they've got a common enemy.[that being Dragon Poachers/Hunters.] Most likely they either met by accident, or Eclipse somehow accidentally freed him when escaping the dragon fighting rings. "Exchange for some trinkets in his hoard" That's rather generous of him! ♥♥♥ I love him so much! he's so pretty! ♥♥♥
Do you still perchance have the tide wraiths refs? Because I cannot find them for the life of me lol
and I scrolled down in my posts long enough to find the original ask/post about them. Its -> Here <-
Somehow the dragon builds are easy once you trace over the body and sketch up the general shapes. Now I just need to figure out different poses lmao
yea they're like....thick noodles with fins and horns. XD For the poses I just drew the line representing their spine, then followed it from there.
They're pretty easy dragons to draw, just not from head on. XD
Do you still perchance have the tide wraiths refs? Because I cannot find them for the life of me lol
and I scrolled down in my posts long enough to find the original ask/post about them. Its -> Here <-
Pokes my head in
Hi hello. How are you doing? Can I ask for more dragon Eclipse? =3
You said you want to make his and Solar Flare's relationship get better w time. Do you still remember how that one turned out?
(I'd give you more characters to draw but for now thats my limit I'd feel about asking to draw something of mine lmaoo)
Hrmm...I think it was both SF and KC, but either way. KC probably would forgive Eclipse anyway, since he's tired of not being able to interact or talk to one of his hatchlings. SF however would be far more skeptical of Eclipse having a change of heart. The only way I can remember them 'reconciling' would be if Eclipse needed help.
But, even though SF is far more skeptical, he does also miss not being able to talk or interact with one of his brothers. So I figured he'd probably give Eclipse a chance to speak.
[also I didn't write in dialog for Eclipse speaking about whatever it was that he needed help with, because I couldn't think of anything on the spot. :/ ]
Ohhh that's actually interesting. More questions xd
Would others ever fidn out about this? Like the fact that Eclipse needed help and Flare with KC agreed to help him
And what was KC's reaction to Eclipse needing help?
Oh and curious is the star boosting SF's abilities/himself? Or does his tial jsut naturally glow? If not is that why he's confident he can defeat Eclipse?
I'm sorry I love this au sm
The others may find out about it, since Sun/Moon's pack is allied with KC and SF. and as much as they hate Eclipse, they wouldn't blame KC or SF for helping him. Eclipse is their family, even though their relationship is a bit rough. KC probably would just help him, then talk with him later. He's tired of not being able to talk to Eclipse, so Eclipse returning for help really wouldn't faze him. He'd just be happy to talk to him again. The star does give SF some minor abilities. though, his star is more to do with the mind and spirit/soul, so physical things are more difficult to use if for. He mostly uses the stars powers around his tail, since if anything goes wrong, he can live without his tail. and the rattle on the end of his tail is really tough, so most likely the star couldn't break his tail. No his tail doesn't glow, that's just the effect of the star power around his rattle. SF is a venom-blood, and true to their name, his blood is Poisonous/Venomous, SF is also a ground dragon, with four talons, he is almost 100% pure muscle, and is the same size as Eclipse. Eclipse was confident when they were younger, because he grew faster than the other hatchlings, so he was bigger, and stronger. but that was when they were hatchlings. as adults, on the ground, SF would win every time. and even if he didn't win, his venom/blood would kill Eclipse afterwards anyway.
Okay barking giggling and kicking my legs I love this so much
Okay another question. Where did Eclipse live when he wasn't bothering others? Did he even have to fight sb over the territory? Bc as far as I remember you said Eclipse is a phoenixwing I believe? And they're very very aggressive and territorial, only tolerating other dragon to have a clutch if I'm not wrong
So did Eclipse ever have to fight some dragon for his territory or something lol
Eclipse has his own cave with his own hoard, but it's not close to the others. It's on an island in the middle of a lake. [most of the time, Hatchlings will leave their parents territory out of respect. and also because most of the time a hatchling isn't strong enough to fight their parents. Eclipse left KC, BM, and SF's territory because he knew better than to try to run all three of them out of it.] but yes he is half Phoenix-Wyvern! which are cousins to Thunderwings. and yes they are extremely territorial, only pairing up briefly to have a clutch of eggs. Thunderwings are similar, however they can be pack dragons. they'll just be a bit more antisocial than most other dragons. And Thunderwings mate for life instead of only briefly having a mate. So Eclipse is a delicate balance between Territorial, Pack dragon, and anti-social. and depending on his mood, he can flip between any of those three. He was with Lunar for a while, and with various fighting partners while in the dragon fighting rings, so he does know how to be social, and how to function in a pack setting, just probably prefers not to be social most of the time. It's inevitable that most dragons [unless they're cool with sharing territory] will have to defend their territory at some point. So most likely, Yes. He's probably fought off many intruders in his territory. And since he still has it, Id assume he's been pretty successful in defending it so far. :)
Okay all of this is actually sososo c00l and I would ask more but Idk what to ask rn
Any c00l things you have to dhare about this au?
oh goodness Stellar... If I shared all the cool things I've got for this AU up in my head this post would far surpass Tumblr's word limit. But I can share some things about KC, BM, SF, Lunar and of course ur favorite, Eclipse. KC is a mountain mover, I'm sure you know that already. however Let me share a little tidbit about why him raising 4 1/2 hatchlings was so impressive. Mountain-Movers have one egg at a time, and they only raise one hatchling at a time. they get stressed if there's more than one. And sometimes will even leave the weaker of the hatchlings if there are multiple. [However they often are sweet and welcoming to any hatchling they've raised for the rest of their and their hatchlings life. even long after the hatchlings have moved out of their parents territory.] however, the saving grace for KC was the kind of hatchlings he adopted. Eclipse: Thunderwing/Phoenix-wyvern, Not capable of defending himself for several years, but mobile enough to walk. Smart, good problem solver. doesn't really require much attention aside from food and protection. Solar-Flare: Venom-Blood, Highly capable hatchlings, very tough and hardy little things, often attempting to hunt things before their teeth even properly grow in. though dangerous towards hatchlings that aren't of the same species because of their tendency to fight their siblings. [that's where Bloodmoon was helpful.] Bloodmoon: Double-strike, They hatch knowing what is necessary to survive, and don't actually need caretakers/parents. though they also will fight their siblings rather willingly. Lunar: Lop-ear, Obedient and sweet little hatchlings, but also rather self sufficient. only needing food, protection, and a few lessons.
KC was only successful with them because of the kinds of hatchlings they were. Eclipse and Lunar rarely needed anything aside from food/Protection. And Bloodmoon kept Solar-flare from attacking [and probably killing] the other hatchlings. though Bloodmoon was also a pain because he kept trying to 'escape' KC. [He never succeeded, KC always found him and returned him to the nest, so BM stopped trying.] ================================================
Eclipse is a hybrid between a Thunderwing and a Phoenix-Wyvern. What makes Eclipse so special is the sheer rarity of his existence. Phoenix-wyverns are somewhat endangered, and not a common sight to see, they're also antisocial and territorial. Thunderwings are critically endangered, making it damn near impossible to find one. they're also antisocial, and minorly territorial. However, it's possible that due to the decline in population of both species, it forced them to look elsewhere for a mate, and that's probably how eclipse came to be. He's most likely not the only hybrid of this specific kind, though even if he met another hybrid exactly like him, he, nor any of the other hybrids would be able to have hatchlings. Eclipse is probably Ace in this AU anyway, not looking for a mate. Eclipse does have some abilities from both sides though! His body temperature is far higher than a normal Dragons, due to the Phoenix-wyvern side, meaning he rarely gets sick, and has a stronger immune system than most. He also breathes fire instead of lightning, and can light the fur along his spine on fire. [with sparks of lightning intwined in the flames.] He can 'come back' after dying. [though he can only do this 1-4 times. And he's already done it twice.] He can be struck by lightning, and it wont hurt him. He flies silently, he's rather fast in the air, and he's an amazing swimmer, which all comes from the Thunderwing side. [Also, I don't know if you remember the Tide-Wraiths, but I'm sure one of them would love to be allied with Eclipse.]
================================================
Bloodmoon is a Double-Strike, Which means he has two heads. Double-Strikes are notoriously dangerous, due to their antisocial personality, and solitary nature. The most interesting thing about the Double-Strike species, is that on rare occasions, they can hatch with more than two heads. actually they can hatch with up to 6 heads. though it makes their life a lot more difficult, since each head controls different parts of the body.
For a normal Double-strike, one head controls the legs, and one tail, and the other head controls the wings, and one tail.
Bloodmoon is allied with a rider, Stitchwraith. [or as Bloodmoon calls him: Stitchy.] Bloodmoon having a rider is rather odd, since most of the time, most to-be Dragon riders cant/wont tame a Double-Strike. Double-Strikes need equal attention to both heads, if one is favored over the other, the 'taming' attempt will fail. [and they'll probably kill you.] Stitchwraith only 'tamed' Bloodmoon because it was necessary for them both to get out of the dragon rings alive. And Bloodmoon just never left Stitchwraith. and it took a long time for Stitchwraith to gain their trust enough to ride them, let alone 'command' them. [most of the time, "Commanding" a dragon is more or less flying with them, and your suggestion is taken into account.] having a 'tamed' Double-Strike is rather useful, since they tend to be rather loyal, and very protective. Just don't be expecting too much affection from them. Bloodmoon is not particularly affectionate, but he is rather playful. and likes to steal Stitchwraith's things, and hide them for him to find.
================================================
Solar-Flare is a Venom-blood, meaning he's poisonous/venomous in all ways. even just contact with his skin/scales can cause severe irritation/rashes.
Venom-Bloods are pack dragons, which is why Solar-Flare never left KC's territory. [but since the others were raised with SF, they're resistant to his venom. BM and KC are entirely immune to his venom.] Venom-bloods also use their rattle for communication, as well as a blunt force weapon. the scales along their back also can rattle, though they'd have to shake their whole body to rattle those. They can do something called 'Venom-seeping' which is when they force venom/blood to seep out of their spine scales, mouth, talons, and some rare mutations, their tail rattle as well. Solar-Flare only got the star because he refused to let Eclipse have the star. they have fought over the star. Eclipse did win the first time, though his victory didn't last long, since SF's Venom caught up to Eclipse, and made him too weak to fight once SF found him again. So SF took the star, and left Eclipse on an island.
Solar-Flare's is far less resistant to other Venom-blood dragons venom. since he didn't hatch with other venom-bloods, He never was able to build up a tolerance to the other Venom-blood dragons venom.
Solar-Flare was also the hatchling that attempted to challenge and fight KC the most. he never did win, but he got close on a few occasions. and even now he still randomly challenges KC to a fight. though it's not out of aggression, he's being playful really. ================================================
Lunar is a Lop-Ear, and to his detriment, he's a prey dragon. meaning the others picked on him a LOT. [others being BM and Eclipse. SF didn't really care and still tried to fight him anyway.]
Lop-Ears have an instinct similar to fainting goats. If you scare them bad enough they will 'faint' and flop over pretending to be dead. [The others were relentless with scaring Lunar. XD] They do grow out of this, and eventually don't 'faint' anymore. Lop-ears also have a defensive ability, making it hard to bite them. they can briefly light their entire body up with lightning. Almost like a taser.
Lunar went with Eclipse when he left because he felt bad, and was afraid of letting Eclipse go off by himself. Lunar is also the ONLY reason Eclipse ever escaped the dragon fighting rings. And even though there were a lot of bad moments, there were still the sweet moments between Lunar and Eclipse. It was rare but it did happen. [When Lunar left, it did break Eclipse inside a little. since he did care. he was just terrible at showing it.]
Lunar can often be seen riding on the others backs while they walk around. He likes sitting between Sun's wings, on top of Moon's head, in the middle of Solar's back, and anywhere on Earth's wool. He doesn't sit on Jack's back, since 1: He doesn't really want to be burned. 2: He helped raise Jack, and it would feel wrong. 3: He doesn't want to accidentally hurt Jack, even though he knows Jack is strong enough, and big enough to carry him. He'll also sit on Monty's back/shoulders when he comes to visit. Any time he sees KC or SF, he will also hop up on their backs as well.
================================================
There is a LOT more I could mention, but like I said, I'd be here typing for hours. and this post is already long enough. So if you have any more questions, feel free to ask! I'll answer as soon as I can. :)
OMG ??? THIS ALL SOSOSO C00L!!
[Also, I don't know if you remember the Tide-Wraiths, but I'm sure one of them would love to be allied with Eclipse.]
OFC I REMEMBER THOSE GOOBERS!!
Omg tell me the possibilities and how would it turn out if Eclipse ever agreed to ally w one. . .
Question towards Lunar and Eclipse, did Lunar used to sit on Eclipse too when he had the chance lol
Hwo did KC even meet others. And how in the world did he find abandoned hatchlings. . . Does he just collect them like Pokémon cards lmao
Also very very important. Hypothetically if Eclipse allowed it. How would his fur feel on touch? Or scales? I have an itty bitty hc that they're kinda reflective and would feel like smooth stone along with clear ridges where the new scale stars. . .
If he agreed to ally with a Tide-wraith, most likely that island of his would be safe always. or at least as long as he keeps being allied with the Tide-wraiths. I mentioned above that Eclipse can be struck by lightning, and it wont hurt him. Tide-Wraths [if I remember right they ally with Thunderwings because Thunderwings are far more likely to get struck by lightning, and i think it recharged their abilities.] need the lightning, so they'd still willingly ally with Eclipse because he's part Thunderwing, and far more likely to get stuck by lightning. and in return, they offer him some safety and food.
Lunar did used to sit on Eclipses back. It was for several reasons. Lunar is incapable of true flight, so he would use Eclipse as a free ride. Eclipse struggles to groom the fur right behind his head, Lunar used to help with that. And even for as mean as Eclipse was to Lunar, Sitting on his back meant that Lunar was safe from other dragons.
KC met Moon and Sun in the dragon fighting rings. his territory is also rather close to Sun and Moon's territory. He didn't find the hatchlings, they were "given" to him on accident. thieves stole various hatchlings, and sometimes when they fear they'll be caught, they'll dump the stolen hatchlings into an unsuspecting dragon's hoard to 'hide' them. since removing hatchlings from a dragons hoard is a terrible idea, most people, even if they found the stolen hatchlings, wouldn't mess with them. assuming they belong to the dragon that owns the hoard. So Eclipse, Lunar, BM, and SF were all 'abandoned' in one of the smaller caves leading to KC's hoard, KC heard the hatchlings crying and went to investigate. The thieves didn't ever manage to steal the hatchlings from KC. not that they didn't try...they just never left the cave after they went in.
Eclipse's fur is soft, but tough at the same time. He has keeled Scales, meaning the scales have a little ridge down the middle of each scale. though his belly scales, and the scales around his wing claws and feet are entirely smooth. His grey scales aren't reflective, tho his belly scales, and star patterns on his sides are. [And a little extra, the membranes of his wings are soft, and covered with fuzz. this is to help him fly silently. Solar has the same thing, though Solar is softer, since he's a regular Thunderwing.]
Iavwievwhe screams. What do you mean his wings are fuzzy???? Ong omg omg omg
A shame I can't pet Eclipse I want that so badd
Is is him not allying with a Tide Wraith is part of the reason because he's antisocial? What are the chances of him allying w one?
How does he even clean his fur?? Does he (attempts) doing it like cats or other animals? Goes he have dusty baths or something loll
Oh and few thing I'm curious about. Is Bloodmoon also hostile towards Eclipse? Why did Lunar even feel bad/didn't want to lose him? Did he like. Get chased off or something?
Owl feathers have a slight extra ‘fuzz’ on them, it helps them fly in near silence. Thunderwings, and by extension Eclipse, have no scales on their wing membranes, rather its skin, with a layer of fuzz on it. The layer of fuzz is pretty much really short fur. It makes them fly really quietly.
I mean…if he was asleep you might be able to pet him for a moment…at least before he wakes up.
He could ally with one. I just don’t have a Tide-wraith friend designed for him. If you’d like to make one allied with Eclipse I could make it cannon. I wouldn’t mind. Since I’m pretty sure you were the one that came up with the idea for them…I think…Tide-wraiths and thunderwings don’t really bond emotionally. It’s a mutually beneficial relationship. The tide-wraith gets extra lightning, and the thunderwing gets a spot to rest and some food. Though that doesn’t mean they can’t form a deeper bond, it’s probably not common though.
Most dragons are like cats, they groom the fur. Some will take it a step further and do a “deep clean” of their fur in rivers or when it rains.
Eclipse would probably fly through rain clouds to get the fur wet, then do his best to clean it.
Pokes my head in

================================================
================================================
================================================
