To research stuff for my Artisan Project I first looked at a lot of music videos as this is the area I wanted to focus on and actually shoot however I wanted the making of the song.

This is a great music video and it contains a lot of different videoing techniques, specifically the part I am referring to takes place at around 1 minute in. It shows a close up onto all the members of the bands eyes one after one as they take off sunglasses this is a really interesting shot and the duration of each clip is perfectly times. It has made me think about exactly how long I want each clip to be as this video demonstrated how making your video fit with the background music is extremely important and trying to make the clips line up with the beat of the music can really play a big role in if the video is interesting to watch or not.

This video was important to me when I thought about the post production and the lighting of the video as in this whole video it maintains a perfect exposure despite the lighting going through morning to night and it still maintains very similar tones throughout this making all the shots fit perfectly next to each other and you aren't distracted by every shot being brighter or darker than each other and one being warm toned and the next being cool toned.

In this specific part of the movie the link shows it is a perfect example of building the scenes up to an “intense” part as each clip starts to get faster and the noise starts to build up. This is something that I want to do at the en of my video is build it up quickly to an abrupt stop and I think its important to know how to time it right and how long to have each clip when it goes faster so you still have enough time to see everything in the frames but also not too long that it isn't building a climax at all.

This is all some of the most important scenes in the movie as it is when you actually get to see the babadook, I think in these scenes when it is in the home setting every single background item is very very important and how everything in the frame can make a difference so it is going to be important for me to look at what the background of each an every shot is when videoing and decide what I want to be in view and what ill need to move.

This is an important video for me as I think it’s very very simple, however it’s really interesting to watch. The video is very effective at telling a story and despite the video being a very different “aesthetic” it works well and I think this is important as things don't need to match perfectly but if it is done intentionally and stuff in a creative way just about anything can work if you want it to. I want my video to have this very soothing effect like this one does and this will be highly dependent on slow steady camera movements as in this video the camera has absolutely no shake so it is going to be important for me to take several of the same clip just incase one happens to have shake and I need to be sure to use a tripod in every frame as without it, it would be too hard to prevent shake.
