tma/tme are terms that we have been using for decades to specifically indicate whether or not someone is affected by transmisogyny, a unique form of oppression that transfems face and cannot ever escape from. it is functionally similar to the terms "black, and non black" used by people of color, "disabled, and abled" used by disabled people, "autistic, and allistic" by neurodivergent people, and "queer and straight" used by the LGBT community. the only difference is that its defined in terms of oppression rather than identity, because people affected by transmisogyny can either be not out yet, nonbinary, intersex, or any other identity and still be negatively affected by transmisogyny that they cannot escape from.
