“Oh- yeah in fine! Just the director of my subdivision is all…”
She weakly laughed
“…Right.” supplies are lowered onto the countertop and he kneels in front of her, “I’m a little confused here, kid, you came to me? Instead of your father? Did- did somethin’ happen?”
“No- no…I just needed get away is all…”
“If anything I ended up here by accident…”
He nods.
“Alright, then… So, what happened?”
“Just an argument is all…..about me leaving the shop…”
“Oh, wow, I-“ he pauses, to breathe, “Yeah? What does that mean? An argument with who?”
“With my dad. Then I ran off, ran into the director and uhm…”
She hesitated
“Okay, God, this is forward but did he- he didn’t..?”
He manages to speak no further but his true thoughts are obvious.
“Wh- what!? No! No! My dad didn’t do this!” She shook her head
“I promise! It was Dr.Anderson.”
“Okay, okay, calm down, I just needed to check,” he raises two of his hands, “Jesus.. first aid. Do you need first aid?”
“Uhm…I- maybe…? It’s not that bad right…?”
“..Does it hurt anywhere else? How hard did they hit you?”
“I- uhm…my ribs hurt pretty bad? Little hard to breathe….”
She nodded
“Pretty hard? Knocked me to the ground…maybe hit my head? I dunno..”
“How well can you see? Do you think you might have a concussion? Bruised ribs? Anything? I can run a few tests if you’d let me, but I’m no high doctor..”
“I mean my visions pretty shit…but maybes a little more blurry….? I haven’t really checked on my ribs…”

Sebastian sighs. He kneels down and extends his third arm.
“Right, come on, we’ll check things out.. if you’d trust me.”
She took his hand as she gently nodded
“Okay-..”
“This might hurt a little so I apologise.. where’s the rib pain? Can you point that out?”
She pointed to the bottom left of her rib
“There…”
“Right…” he reaches forward and presses his palm down on the area.
She flinched and yelped at the touch
“Fuck…!”
He immediately pulls back.
“Alright, so it’s not.. great. Would you let me test rib looseness? Or is that off the table?”
“Sure…? Whatever you need to I guess…? I- I can take it if it hurts!”
“Take it as well as you can, then..”
Yet again, he reaches forward, and presses down, shifting his hand about the area.
She squeezed her eyes shut scrunching up her nose, she was trying not to yell or say anything again
There’s a few moments of silence before he pulls away again.
“Alright… doesn’t seem like it’s too bad. It’s not cracked anywhere, or easily moveable at all.”
“That’s….good right?”
“Yup. Your ribcage isn’t supposed to move.”
“That’s good….what now?”
She looked up to Sebastian, she had a stupid look on her face, could really only be described as puppy dog eyes
“Well…” he pauses.
Should he really be giving this up to some random stranger?… but she is a child. She’s just a kid. He sighs, heavily.
“Third last pouch. Open it, grab one of the bottles. Those’ll probably help with the pain, at least.”
She nodded
“Here?”
She grabbed it shaking the bottle
“Yup. That’s the one. Just one, mkay? Don’t overdose yourself. Besides, I don’t usually give those out for free.”
