A: Atlas seems... uninterested, to say the least.

S: "Oh.. hey there little one." He tilts his head.

She hisses, she puffed up like a little kitten

S: He puts his hands up defensively "Woah now, kiddo. You're alright."

A: He presses up against the wall furthest from Sif and attempts to make himself seem smaller. He is aware that he's... large.

She tensed up and whined

“S-stay back!!!”

S: "You got it, boss." They back up a few feet. Slowly, he turns to Atlas and whispers "...Do we know this kid?"

A: "...No. Never seen them before." He fully sits on the ground.

She curls up under a desk a little shaky her eyes staring at them.

[askabyssal]

A: "...Are you.. alright? Where did you come from?" He asks, in a slow, quiet voice.

S: They get closer to Atlas, not quite knowing how to deal with kids.

Her ears are drooped, she looks worse for wear. Obviously on edge.

“I-I dunno…”

A: "Mm. I see." He takes a deep breath. It has been 13 years since he's handled children. "Can you.. tell me your name?"

“S-Sif…sif solace”

[askabyssal]

A: "Thank you, Sif." He takes a long pause, trying to figure out how she got here and where she came from. "I've never seen you around the facility." He takes a book from a bookshelf, dusting it off and absentmindedly flipping the pages. "So, I'm gonna assume you aren't from around here, are you?"

She shakes he head

"N-no...I dont think so,"

A: He hums in acknowledgement. "I'm... not sure how this happened, but we'll find a way to get you home. I promise."

“R-really?”

A: "Really. Or.. at least... I'll do everything I can."

“I’m sorry, sis...”

[She stopped a couple of feet away from Sif, staying away from her a bit before hiding under the blanket once more to “disappear” from view]

It only took a short amount of time for Sif to start kneading on the blankets. And lay on them comfortably

[With her head still resting on the railing and being asleep, her head had fallen to the side, hitting the bars hard as she woke up and flumbed to the floor in shock]

[She grumbled, turning away from him and huffed. Grabbing onto her head]

[She finally looked over and stared as she was holding her head, before scooting closer, trying to act as if she wasn’t hurt at all]

He scowled “Aline. Don’t do that shit, tell me what’s wrong kid. You don’t have to. But if you’re gonna act like this..don’t expect for me to act so kindly back.”

“Fine, whatever.. I don’t know why sis acts like she’s ready to attack me sometimes. She tried to bite me not long ago! Why does she act like that... I had to back away while I was unsure what to do, and I was nervous.. I do love sis as my sibling, but still”

[She looked back at him again]

“And sorry for talking back. I shouldn’t have done that either to you”

His expression softened as he picked Aline up out of the loft to go somewhere Sif couldn’t hear.

“It’s alright kid…”

“Your sister is….uh…different. You and me were born humans. You may not remember it but as much as we do have animal instincts…imagine that times 10. It’s all Sif has known and…it’s not something that I can ‘fix’…as much as Sif is my daughter and your sister. And…human being…”

“It’s just the way they made her.”

[She jumped up a bit in surprise when she was picked up, holding on so she wouldnt fall off]

“Then why did whoever made sis do this? She isn’t an animal... She is more human than that idiot, I’m sure!”

[She looked over to her sister and watched silently for a moment before looking back]

“Do you know the worker who did this to sis?”

He hesitated to speak “yes. I do.”

“Again, sorry for being moody earlier. I don’t think I have ever acted up like that ever... From what I can remember at all”
