mudedefine.co.uk
A website I created as a part of my self initiated project that gives people the option to email in their own definitions of the word mude.
Artists Without Borders
Pixels on Screen (2015)
A series of paintings by Michael Craig Martin, with the black lines removed.
Sponge Day
We were asked to grab peoples attention. We did so by looking into mob mentality and how people are interested in what others appear to be interested in. In the first clip we all stand around a perfectly ordinary piece of ground making a fuss to grab peoples attention. In the second clip we walk around a gallery drawing two followers from the size of our group.
Sponge Day - Postcard
I chose this postcard for the fact it would be most legible when it was written on. I wanted to write on the artwork in response to the way that people often visit the âtateâ to see the âtateâ not artwork.
Sponge Day - Best Vs. Worst
KK Outlet and Proof were two galleries I visited on sponge day. KK Outlet communicated the point of the exhibition, had nice layout and was a warm and friendly environment to be in. Proof was not well laid out, it was unexplained and had a dismal feeling while inside. This is reflected in their websites above.
Idea Of The Week
âYouâve lost your ........... Tell someoneâ
My response to this weeks idea of the week was to come in wearing pyjamas holding a lost keys form I took from my halls management. Â

3D Skate Stopper Type
Creating typography of contradictory statements. âCultureâ made from skate stoppers, stopping the very thing its trying to nurture.
Ride Over Stoppers
Allows riders to grind over the skate stoppers. Not tested/initial development.
Skate Stoppers
Skate stoppers are designed to stop âAnti - socialâ behaviour (skating, rollerblading, etc.). Described as âTools of oppressionâ by the long live southbank skate park, these features of modern âDefensive architectureâ are considered by many a rot on the fabric of society, and conversely do the opposite of what they seek to do.Â
South bank
Photographic research of southbank around waterloo bridge.
Entropy & Decay
A recent photographic project exploring the entropy & decay of memory. My conclusion was that the only true way to represent it is within the viewers own mind by stimulating memories through phrases such as âYour first bikeâ and âThe house you grew up inâ.
