"It's your birthday... Happy birthdays Chihiro. I'll allow for a celebration," right away on Akashi face showed a small smirk. "but only after daily practices."
It was always the same with Akashi, practice and winning was the most important thing for the redhead, his insatiable drive for victory fuelling him to push everyone that extra step harder. He didn't even remember mentioning his birthday to his captain, though he didn't expect him not to know either. His only response to that was a sigh and a small mumble of disapproval. "And what do you have in store as a gift?" It was his birthday after all.

Chihiro wasn't one to dwell on something for long, the loss against Seirin was on his mind, albeit not as impactful as it had been on the others, those who thought they deserved to win everything, he wasn't of their mentality to care as much. The male simply went about his day to day businesses like normal, reading, observing, playing a bit of basketball being the more prominent activities he took part in. Seated in Maji burger, sipping his chocolate milkshake as he watched the people come in and out the male didn't even bother showing any emotion in his eye, albeit until he saw the familiar face of someone he knew rather well, or at least thought he knew well enough. "What is it? Has the old model come to gloat?" He asked, staring up at the other who was hovering around his table.

"Do you mind? I'm trying to read here."
Akashi had expected something along those lines. “Alright. Strawberry, then,” he replied – it being his favorite flavor for anything sweet, really. Eyeing Chihiro’s raised arm, he merely sighed and took the other’s hand into his. Really, did he have to be so slow and hesitant with everything? It’s not like the other male actually didn’t want it. “As long as I so desire, Chihiro. Anything else?”
Damn, this guy and the way he spoke as if everything in the world was okay as long as it was him who was doing it. Chihiro responded to his sigh with one of his own, if only to show the other just how he felt about the situation, slightly awkward being the only thing he wished to tell the other. "Make sure not to make this a habit." His hand relaxed in the other's, the male deciding there was no helping it for now.
"Meh, today is the most annoying day. Never a moment’s peace." He glanced over to the chocolates and shrugged. "I dunno. Do you want some? I can’t eat all this myself."
He was glad that he wasn't noticeable then, an annoying day like this was definitely not something Mayuzumi wished to partake in. "I don't really care, why not just give it back to your fans?"
Pleased, Akashi nodded his head at the other’s words. “Yes, very,” he offered a faint smile at that, but it was almost gone as soon as it had been there. Satisfied, he held onto Chihiro’s hand as he focused back on his work.
The older male stared, his blank gaze observing Akashi and how he worked, seriously, one hand being occupied when you worked on things was uncomfortable at best, how long did he intend to keep this one up? "Working with one hand must be cumbersome, you plan to stay like this for how long exactly?"
Haizaki blinked up at the other male, annoyance showing on his features. “Hah? I’ll like to see you handle it fucking better, you shitty bastard-!” he replied loudly, not caring if attention was being drawn to them. At first most people seemed confused – that was, until they noticed Chihiro. Heh, thing was – he had heard about guy. “Besides, who the fuck are you to talk, when you are copying one of the famous miracles with their abilities, huh? You’re the fucking pathetic one here.”
The oncoming attention wasn't really wanted, but Chihiro didn't care enough for the watchers to bother shooting them any sorts of glares or looks, he was just annoyed with this guy lecturing him as if he was more superior. "How ironic that the thief is talking to me about being a copy." He wasn't a copy, he was an improved blueprint, the new design, the improvement. To even say he was copying the Phantom Sixth Man was an insult in and if itself.
"I’m sure you’re very certain without me going and saying it. And you’ll practice whether you like it or not, wouldn’t want someone else to surpass you after all."
"Are you trying to say that you'll find a replacement for me, I thought I was an invaluable piece in your list of pawns. Practice isn't something I think a man like me needs to attend as much as the others. I'm much different after all."
Off to bed, like this for a starter maybe?
It took him a longer time than normal to finally fall into the slumber he wished for at this moment. Honestly, the amount of care he spent in not trying to disturb his sleeping captain was s task in and of itself. The grey haired male slipped into the covers, trying his best not to touch Akashi, the gentle and slowed breathing as well as the peaceful expression on Akashi’s face made Chihiro feel he shouldn’t wake him. He even found it very interesting to see how his captain slept, the absolute being falling prey to sleep, one thing he couldn’t seem to conquer. Well, the male slowly drifted off, thoughts about Akashi filling his head more than he’d wanted. His captain really was a different breed of human entirely. He made sure to place his plain, black coloured bookmark at the page he finished before turning of the lamp and sleeping beside the redhead. He awoke later, the morning light and chirping birds alerting him of the new day. Chihiro couldn’t help but feel unusually closer to Akashi than when he slept, moving his arm seemed a task right now, he must have tossed slightly in his sleep obviously. “Akashi…” The name was quiet on his tongue, almost a whisper as if to work out if his captain was awake or not. the alarm was due to go off in a few minutes anyhow, perhaps he could wait till that before moving.
As soon as Akashi heard Chihiro’s voice speak up, he opened his mismatching hues and slowly sat up in the bed to prove that he was indeed awake. “Good morning, Chihiro,” he replied, a small yawn leaving his lips. Well, it had been a very pleasant sleep – but now that the other male was once again awake then he could no more fool around. Standing up, he stretched and then walked to the bathroom, a small frown forming on his features. Well, his bed-head wasn’t nearly as bad as Tetsuya’s, but it was still a bother. No more than five minutes later he strolled back to where Chihiro were, looking like he usually would – fresh and unfazed from what had had happened beforehand. Not that them sharing a bed was anything of his concern. “I’m going back to my own room now. I’m expecting you to be ready in around fifteen minutes, Chihiro,” he replied before he left the other male behind – pleased that they had both managed to sleep without any further problems stirring up between them. On his way to his room he made sure to wake up the other’s and tell them the same, before he moved in and changed into his training uniform. They would eat breakfast first and then move onto the actual training soon after. That was when he would give his teammates their punishment – especially because it was obvious to him that they had seemed very tired. He would train them until they dropped unconscious – well, all except Chihiro.
The male raised a hand, using his palm to wipe at his eyes just so he could adjust his eyesight and allow for his pupils to become accustomed to the light once more. he didn't bother replying to the greeting, he didn't really see the point in saying good morning, the very thing had now become something absurd in his eyes, greeting someone in such a way even though the person was unknowing of whatever the other was actually having a good day or if they'd not woke up in a bad mood or similar moods to that. Whatever, he didn't feel like thinking and dwelling on the statement itself, instead allowing his body to rest in bed a little longer, his grey, blank gaze focusing on the other's bed-head hair, what a sight, almost worth laughing at, but he'd just woken up so a simple smirk tugged at his features instead. As always, when he returned from the lavatory, he looked as perfect as he made out to be, it was practically annoying. "A simple thank you would be fine." The male replied, the fact the he didn't get to have his bed to himself as he always did annoying him somewhat. "I'll be ready." He wasn't one that took a huge amount of time readying himself for things, the need to uphold appearances being made redundant by the fact that he'd never been noticed by people. Chihiro was then up and ready in a short while after, ten or so minutes by his watch, travelling to the hall where they'd have breakfast as a team, not that he was looking forward to Nebuya's incessant hollering about food, it was always too early for that.

being unnoticeable had its perks, the fact that you could pretty much do, and say, whatever you wished being one of them. Chihiro did enjoy it, being able to read his novels without people hindering him in his pursuits. The male was sat down, watching whatever game was playing on the television, well, more reading than actual watching. The sudden feeling of a pair of arms wrap around his waist almost startled him, whoever this was was surely doing something very unexpected. Then, the sudden contact of lips against his skin almost made him shudder, his head turning slightly to stare at whoever this guy was.
"Let go of me."
Kuroko blinked hearing his response. Taking a deep breath the male sighed, he was really disappointed with the flow of their conversation. “I see that Akashi-kun not only taught you misdirection, but also his sense of humor.”
"Akashi has no sense of humour." And that much was obvious even for people who didn't know him to figure out, the redhead was anything but humurous and he never joked. Chihiro couldn't recall a single instance where it had ever happened. "I would expect the former Phantom Sixth Man to already have realised that."
