It doesn’t matter who he goes with be it friends or family, he just needs someone he knows to accompany him. Travelling alone has its perks of course, but he feels as if the loneliness would counteract any so called peace and quiet he would receive. Where? Europe, he’s not extremely picky where but preferentially not Northern Europe as the cold might get to him. For someone who wants somebody to accompany him, he’s actually rather a ‘my-pace’ sort of person and will roam around not specifically deciding a destination for the day simply to take lots and lots of pictures. Of course he would visit the famous destinations and probably take a selfie to send back to people at home with a bright duchenne grin upon his face. But in truth he would also be the kind to find the small quiet wonders of a village that most tourists will overlook. It’s not about the spending, it’s about the experience.
