resource for procrastination

if you’re anything like me, working on a computer is a dangerous thing. i’ll get distracted by everything - that one email i should respond to, all the pictures of my dog, tumblr, and so on. I recently discovered an amazing resource to stop that.

it’s called writer’s block, and is free to download! 

when you open it, it shows this screen, where you can choose either a time limit or word goal

then when you start, it opens a document that fills the entire screen like this

and you cannot quit the app or open anything else until your word/time quota is filled. i just wrote half of my english speech that i’ve been putting off all morning, and it took only 20 minutes!

so yup, it’s called writer’s block and is free for both mac and windows. enjoy!

We are only young, in the big scheme of things. There is no rush to find that person to fall in love with and stay with forever, because that person will come when they're ready to. I'm not saying don't go out and try for love. I'm not saying to give up on the person you have now. But I am saying, if you know inside that person isn't for you, or what that person is doing hurts you and isn't right, then i think its time to let go. And I know, my post isn't just magically going to make people listen, and I know even if you guys know its true sometimes its not that easy to let go, I understand that. Even if only 1 person out of all my followers gets something from this post, I will be glad. But I realised myself today, if it isn't working and you know that they aren't going to be the one for you at this stage, then don't stress about never finding anyone else if you let go now. I really believe there is someone for everyone out there, someone who will suit you and love you unconditionally the way you do for them. Even if you end things and they're the one, I believe something always draws them back, if its meant to be. Love is a strong thing, its painful yet beautiful. Don't let love control you when you're young. Don't rely on someone else for your happiness. Please guys. Please understand this. Have fun while you're young. There only a few more years left of youth, when theres decades left of being an adult.
