just looked at maybe 800 vintage candy wrappers and ads for inspiration, i keep thinking how great and kitsch the graphics are but also how evil it all is, selling cheap refined fructose aimed at children in sickly sweet packaging. anyway, these bubblegum cigarettes really caught my eye. how fucked?

its funny that i read this a year ago and yesterday for some reason decided to look through it again. because although i appreciated this page then, its only really relevant to my life now. these pages really capture the understanding, or the conclusion ive finally reached on the importance of balance. for me it was always a case of too much mind. from the book Timaeus by Plato, which was his attempt to explain how the world came into being

waiting for my hard copy to arrive, but im happy i found the pdf version online. im superstitious when it comes to books i read, im convinced they find me, and each book organically leads to the other. i am attracted to thinkers who use their their knowledge, whatever it is they know, to connect the dots.  pages from 'the phenomenon of man' by pierre teilhard de chardin. essentially the book is about understanding mans place in the universe.

i picked up a magazine called adbusters in a small shop in hong kong. looked it up and theyre actually based in vancouver. i would scan the entire magazine and i think i eventually will thats how beautiful it is. i liked it for a few reasons- first content. thought provoking, personal, clever, relevant, and uncensored. second its aesthetic- made me rethink magazines. who said they even need margins? who ever said the font had to be uniform through out? the scarp book feel makes it feel so individual, and makes reading about their anti-capitalist/political/environmental/spiritual/intellectual ideas a treat for both the mind and the eyes.
