"Seeds dispersing" is a painting from 2011 that I could not part with but it NOW AVALABLE as Limited Edition Print on Archival Paper.

Oriignal size: 60 cm x 60 cm

It can be printed in several sizes by the skilled printer who matches colour precisely in high quality prints.

Small 30 x 30 print $135 plus postage and handling. 60 x 60 cm print (approx) $220.

NOTE: 5 cm border around each side means when framed you have quite a large artwork!

'Dna Tryptich' is a series of work completed in a month long residency in May 2011 for the first International Fascination of Plants Day at the Institute of Molecular Bioscience at UQ in Brisbane.

Acrylic paint and graphite pencil on linen these three 60 x 90 cm works resulted from an incredibly intense and stimulating month delving into the world of Dna sequencing and molecular plant science in an effort to gain more understanding of the depth and breath of this ever-expanding realm of plant science.

Ask if you wish to view individual works at higher resolution! Paintings are $1,300 each or $2,900 for the series of three. Works on paper also available on request.

'Blackbean totem series' from Cairns Botanic Gardens Residency 2011.

This is one of the work series that was inspired by a day spent at Cairns renowned Djumbunji Press where I took up the simplest of lino-printing techniques to add another dimension to the work for the residency at the Botanic Gardens.

NB: ‘Djumbunji Press has collaborated with hundreds of Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists from Far North Queensland and elsewhere, generating new work of a consistently high standard. Some of this work has entered collections around the world, and set new benchmarks in the development of Australian Indigenous art.’

'Aegean Symbols' is an artwork completed in 2002 when living in Newcastle, NSW and trawling back in time to visit ancient symbols of the Mediterranean, particularly ancient Crete and Cycladic cultures.

It was painted in oils and saved by the artist for her own collection as quite a special reminder of a poignant time spent in that part of the world in 1987.

Recently professionally photographed, this is actually a LIMITED EDITION print on canvas, 80 x 60 cm, stretched on a sturdy wooden frame, and currently hanging at my studio for clients to collect later this week.

They chose to have the 60 x 80 cm canvas print on stretcher frame, $550, in preference to the quality watercolour paper LIMITED EDITION print for $280 after weighing up framing costs and aesthetic concerns for the space it will be placed in.

Please note: High quality framing includes the image wrap around the frame on all four sides. Beautiful professional finish, excellent wooden frame and hanging fixtures make this an excellent piece for any space!

Lino-printing and working on cloth are both processes that have been used by the artist over the past 30 + years, at different key times. In thinking about Bio-cultural DIversity it seemed only fitting to rethink the role of cloth and textiles in cultural life over time and place and the way it is intrinsically linked to plants for fibres and also artistic mediums.
