PERSONALITY: Most of Jernei’s interests are traditionally masculine in nature, giving her a notable “tomboy” or “butch” streak. She believes that actions speak louder than words (despite words of affirmation being her love language) and as such can come off as abrasive and cold until her actions shine through. While she may struggle to keep a lid on her anger, rather than hurt other people Jernei will often hurt herself through overexertion in the gym by boxing and wrestling, or even punching walls. Personally Jernei dislikes speaking about her own feelings, and will easily succumb to depressive thoughts if she isn’t actively doing something. Can be a good friend through thick and thin, but she will judge you if she thinks you’re doing something stupid and be blunt about it.
BACKSTORY: Like many, Jernei was born in Consequence Point. Her parents were vampire hunters from the Czech Republic (former Cezchoslovakia) and highly religious, but naturally Jernei made her defiance quite obvious in her youth outright. She showed great dislike for the household-enforced Catholicism and despised being made into their “princess”. Always a tomboy at heart, Jernei would often hang out with the boys or her older brother. The two were considered a pair and it was highly uncommon for the Bruzek siblings to be apart despite Tom being older. In her school years, Jernei was quite ferocious and often struggled with authority; frequently becoming involved in fights with her classmates--most of which Jernei would initiate into physical beatings. This resulted in many after-school detentions and other punishments in an effort to curb her disobedience, though clearly this held an opposite effect. In fact, reprimand only made Jernei want to rebel more. No matter her academics, Jernei’s parents had already begun training their daughter on how to hunt vampires, as well as educate their children on how to effectively kill and/or incapacitate most supernatural creatures. In preparation for her 18th birthday, Jernei trained long and hard in the hopes she too would be a skilled hunter just like her parents. Unfortunately, when Tom turned 18 the siblings were finally separated for a time. What kept Jernei going during her teenage years were handwritten letters received from Tomislav, to which Jernei expressed interest in returning to their home country and exploring the world; saving humanity from supernatural threats. By the time Tom returned to Consequence, it was finally Jernei’s time to kill her very first vampire. During the hunting process, Tom was eventually bit and turned into a vampire against his will. Now forced to compromise her values, Jernei turned her back on the hunter’s organization and the two quickly moved out of their parents' home and cut contact. Since then, Jernei has made a decent living handling most of the auto-repair in the shop she co-owns with her brother. She also offers boxing lessons at the local gym in her spare time.
REPUTATION: Known as being a huge tomboy and rather aggressive and outspoken, however she tends to avoid trouble with the law unless under extreme circumstances. Mostly found in scrap yards or the gym doing physical activities. @consequence-point
