we aren’t perfect. that’s why the perfect savior came. jesus came to give the father glory and to give us himself. and what he gave, the world cannot take away.

give me one hundred men who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God...they alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the kingdom of heaven upon the earth
and the loan paying begins...now
this is my life
i’m into really low commitment hangouts like lying on the floor near each other or falling asleep together or falling into an endless void together
“‘Dear God,’ she prayed, ‘let me be something every minute of every hour of my life.’”
the riddles of god are more satisfying than the solutions of man
We need women who are so strong they can be gentle, so educated they can be humble, so fierce they can be compassionate, so passionate they can be rational, and so disciplined they can be free.
on earth as it is in heaven
“I am at work here,” He whispers, again and again. “Can you believe me? Can you believe my promises?” Of course I do. I read the words of 1 Peter, “now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.” I cannot deny that I have tasted of His goodness. I cannot deny that I have seen and known Him working all things for the good of those who love Him, even the ugly, hard, unspeakable things. For mercy, for comfort, we wait on the Lord. And He is at work here. What is too hard today, friends? What is too messy? It is hard to believe sometimes but we can know that God is good in that place. We’ve tasted and known His goodness, even in the impossibly hard places.
You have not been sprinkled with forgiveness. You have not been splattered with grace. You have not been dusted with kindness. You have been immersed in it. You are a minnow in an ocean of his mercy.

once in the 4th grade this guy got a 2% on his math quiz so everyone called him milk for the rest of the year

growing up, i witnessed a lot of my fellow pk friends rebelling against their conservative-seeming lifestyles and experiencing a lot of hurt by the position their fathers upheld within the church. i'm grateful now when i reflect on my past and know that i wouldn't want to trade it for a different outcome
with hands that carved out the oceans, You hold the universe and still You run to the broken
