A selfie showing some skin!
This project is all about examining the role of selfies in how we see ourselves, our bodies, and how we project our image online and in private. So today, we want you to go a little extreme, and to show some skin!
This can be whatever you want it to be. That could mean it's time to bust out that bikini early (what is a bikini body? Any body in a bikini, of course) or to create your own small scale boudoir photoshoot in the privacy of your own home. You can go all-out arty and make a bold statement, or you can keep it low key and safe-for-work. In your undies, in your swinsuit or in the nude, however you want - try and push your boundaries!
Of course, we don't want you to do anything that makes you uncomfortable - we'd like to reiterate that you don't need to show anyone every selfie you take this month, you are of course welcome to keep them private! If you are really uncomfortable with the premise of the prompt, try taking a photo of a part of yourself that people wouldn't normally see - this can either be a part of yourself you love or a part you have difficult feelings towards. Some suggestions: your thighs, your back, behind your ears. We'd love it if you wrote about your feelings, positive or negative - but do try not to be too hard on yourself! This project is all about exploring your image and your feelings towards it, so look deeper into why you feel certain ways about your image.
And of course, if you want to embrace our prompt to the extreme, go ahead! (Just make sure you're following the rules of whatever social media sites you're using if you decide to post them online!)
Today's #SeeMySelfie image was kindly offered up by @yourstruelymelly who originally posted it on Instagram with the caption "This body loving fat babe is loving on her body. If you have a problem with that, that's your issue."
