Sheā knew she had to act- if she didnāt sheād die. Talon wanted something- she knew this. She also knew Talon wanted Overwatch gone. With the recall that just happened, she wasnāt surprised that Talon sent one of their men to corner her- but why? They had no evidence that she accepted the recall- which was true, she didnāt. She was still decided whether or not she truly wanted to work amongĀ āheroesā when she clearly wasnāt one.
However, face to face with one of their more infamous agents, she knew they believed otherwise. It would take everything she had to either defeat him or convince him that she didnāt accept the recall. However she wouldnāt dare throw Overwatch under the bus. It was one thing to not work with them, but it was another to completely give up everything.
The sword in her hand reflected the faint green glow that pulsated in her eyes. Blocking every gun shot she had to muster up the voice to speak over it.
ā Whatever- Whatever you want, I do not work with Overwatch. Not anymore. I refuse to work with thoseĀ āheroesā. Theyāve done nothing but troubled my past and Iād be damned if I decided I would sacrifice the last of my hours to their bent cause.Ā ā
Though the insults she spewed were a lie, she hoped it was enough to convince the Reaper otherwise.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Heās not here on Talonās behalf.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Talon might be invested in the Overwatch recall (or making certain that the recall fails), but the Reaper has a far more personal interest.Ā He will see Overwatch burn to the ground all over again, see every agent, former or otherwise, dead at his hand. They did this to him. They turned their backs on him and created the beast that stands before them today.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Overwatch destroyed him and he intends to repay the favour.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā The spray of the Reaperās double shotguns is effortlessly deflected, scattering like marbles upon impact with the otherās sword. Itās blatantly obvious that this strategy, effective on the Reaperās usual marks, is not going to work--but his usual marks arenāt former Overwatch agents. Heās going to have to get up close and personal, which is not preferable considering the way the woman is wielding that sword.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā But before the wraith can slide through the shadows close to her, she speaks. She speaks and it draws laughter from him, ruined mouth curling into a terrible smile beneath his mask. It may not be enough to keep him from killing her, but it is enough to pique his curiosity; after all, allies in his one-man war against Overwatch are far and few between.
