for the eyes I'm using headcanon from fic "Known" on ao3 where Hotaru's eyes aren't white due to magic or something like that but are like second eyelids instead that (thanks to them being Seidan technology) he can turn on and off whenever. his eyes are golden tho :33

this fic also treats his armor like a Seidan technological advancement that can be retracted at will but i really prefer his armor just as normal metal plates, cause japanese stuff yada yada yada
