A DnD commission I recently completed! Designing this rōnin was far more challenging than I expected — I had to do a lot of research on what samurai wore, and then pick the elements that worked best with a “drifter” while also incorporating some magical motifs.

Memoir of a Bad Boy 1 Year Anniversary- Q&A

Hello everyone! My webcomic, Memoir of a Bad Boy turned one year old on March 7! Thank you guys for all your support this past year, and for your questions. Here is a special Q&A in celebration. You can read Memoir of a Bad Boy on Webtoon Canvas here.

Q1 (from RedFireAnala on Webtoon): Did you write this based on your personal experience?

The answer is- Partially! The characters are unique to themselves, though there are some minor details that are based on experiences I’ve had in real life (like their majors). The aspect of Memoir of a Bad Boy that’s most based on my personal experience is the theme of the overarching story. But we’re not really that far along in the story yet, so it may be difficult to get what I’m talking about at the moment ;;

Q3 (from @ empressanimations on Instagram): Was Memoir of a Bad Boy your first ever story/manga?

Yes and no. It’s the first story I’ve ever published publicly. I’ve come up with so many story ideas in the past, and even started working on several of them. The first project I was serious about was creating an otome game, but I realized that I didn’t have enough experience with digital art to release something I would be proud of. That's one of the reasons I decided to create a comic first- to improve my skills in digital drawing. So you can actually expect an otome game from me some time in the future :)

Q4 (from Arvarow on Webtoon): Which one of the group looks best in a dress?

Hmm... probably Winter. I think “looking best” is also a matter of the confidence you wear something with. Winter had the courage to shamelessly go around campus in that donkey costume so...
