"Sen-chan!" it was a relief to see a friendly face for once, really. Not that the boys weren’t friendly, but at least one of them was perpetually grumpy, and they were always fairly busy, there was not much time for fun and games.

She indulged in the oni princesses hug, “Don’t be silly, your visits are one of the only things I have to look forward to around here. But they’ve let me out of the compound a little more freely lately, so I must have missed you.”

Was these boys giving Chizuru a hard time. Perhaps she should speak with them but then again, they were a little rough around the edges. Oh, boys will be boys. But now she could have all the fun in the world with Senhime here. "Oh? Well then I should visit more since I'll be in Shimabara more," she states. A tighter hug was given before she blinked for a moment as she released her, "Oh that makes sense then. I am glad they are letting you out more."

Only a few moments had passed before Okita emerged and made his way from the compound, having slipped on the unmistakable blue haori. His wider stride, while light and easy, was swift enough to have him just several paces behind her in short time.

Moving through the city in the blues was never safe, and doing so alone was hardly typical procedure (or, admittedly, very smart), but there were many who knew the captains’ faces as well as the haori, and moving in a large group wasn’t going to help him with this particular matter. Rumors of dissension in the ranks… chiefly, the night patrols. As if they weren’t a pain in the ass to deal with already…

If they were sneaking around like rats in the back alleys, and caught sight of the first division making rounds unroutinely, they’d scatter and run. He had much better chances of sniffing out any trouble alone… Actually, probably, a lot of trouble, but those were the kind of chances he preferred.

It just so happened that his planned path seemed to be taking him down the oni princesses own direction, and though he did nothing out of the ordinary to necessarily hide himself from her detection, neither did he give any outright indication of his continued presence. Instead he kept on his way, enjoying the faint breeze and the colors of the evening sky…

Time seemed to pass by too quick now, the skies were already getting darker and the princess was now concerned. Bright eyes fixating on the pathway, she should keep her focus. Keep to the busier streets. She reminded herself; however, with the fading people on this particular street. Sen was becoming nervous. Footsteps she heard them from behind and tried to ignore them. How long had they been following her? Maybe they were just heading the same way as her. Not for this long. Her heart was pounding in her chest now, hands clutching closely as her steps started to pick up, the steps doing the same. No, they were following her. There was no way she could make it back to the castle. She had to get to Shimabara. She had to get Kimigiku, It wasn't until one of them tried to speak up to her that she started to break out into a run. Severals shouts and cries were heard from the group of three ronin looking to have a good time, but Sen wanted nothing of that. Quickly she raced down the streets, hearing them come after her. Was no one going to stop them? Senhime would duck and turn down a side street to lost them, following along the path. How fast and how far would her feet take her. The cries suddenly stop and she thought she lost them as she found relief in another main road. But it was nearly empty to her dismay as her eyes widen in horror. She would make another break for it now, she rushed. The voices she heard again as the ronin appear nearly cutting her off. Is this the way to Shimabara? I think it is. Her chest heaving, her heart pounding and racing until. SNAP. The tong to her geta would snap as she wobbled a little. "Ah!" She nearly failed over as she tried to kick off the other. But it unforunately give them the closing in time they needed as a man grabbed her by the waist. "Where your going gorgeous?" Sen tried to pull her arm away but he yanked her back. "Hey, don't run away now. I can't chase you forever," Sen's eyes were burning now, would it be filled with tears. No. The Princess would start screaming as loud as she can as she tried to yank her arm away. Nails scratching at him. His friends didn't do anything but laugh. "Hey, cut that out!" "UNHAND ME. Unhand me! How dare you touch me!"

So many people buzzing around, some familiar, one unwelcome, and the rest she did not recognize, but… she was safe with the Shinsengumi, so she felt no real discomfort.

"Chizuru-chan!" Because the Princess was finally able to see her. The female would wrap her arms around the fellow female with a bright smile. "I've missed you.I've been to the compound quite a few times but they said you wasn't here. Are you trying to avoid me?" The Princess was only joking. Sen seemed to be in complete joy that she finally was able to talk to her.

"I’m sure the same stands for my men, and I trust them with my life, but delicate situations like these…" he trailed off with the slightest eye roll. "Regardless, as I said, I am glad you are here to watch over her as well." He bowed his head faintly in politeness - it was about as polite as he got all things considered. Speaking civilly to the oni princess, such strides Hijikata.

A soft chuckle escapes her lips at his words, "I am sure they have good intentions," Senhime voiced. Respectively, she could understand the eye roll. "I try to do my best," she states. Granted that Chizuru choose to stay with them. The bow was well received as she dipped her head into a bow as well. She could see that he was trying and the effort was well appreciated.

"Haaa, if I remember when I see her," he said with a faint, non-committal shrug, rubbing the back of his neck. For starters, he wasn’t a messenger, let alone Chizuru’s, or this oni princess, but it wouldn’t really be any sweat off his back. Plus it gave him a good reason to go tease the girl some time…

His brow raised faintly as she excused herself, but he offered a small farewell and lifted a hand in a lazy wave to watch her go. There was a somewhat curious look upon his face, before he turned to head back in.

If he remembered. Well that was good enough for her, the Princess would bow her head as she turned on her heels to make her trek outside of the establishment. Heading down the open streets and pathway, walking the streets alone wasn't suitable, but at least, she left early enough so she should get home before the sunset. Though she wondered if she could have--No. That wouldn't be acceptable, if she needed protection, she could visit Kimigiku during her work hours. But wasn't a necessities, instead she would keep moving and ignoring the stares and and absorb herself in her thoughts. "I wonder if I should have just waited for Kimigiku," she mumbled by herself. .

"That’s all right, I wasn’t looking for her." He had merely happened here by coincidence. "I am glad she has you to keep an eye on her, however."

The princess would not at the vice-commander. This was the man who was compared to an oni. Certainly he didn't look as terrifying as the rumors stated. "I do not wish to see any harm befall her," she states. Senhime wouldn't be able to control herself.

He had seen the young woman approaching, but hadn’t bothered paying her any mind until she actually spoke to him. Well, he guess he couldn’t outright avoid her now, could he?

"Chizuru-chan’s friend, ne?" he hummed softly, more to himself than to her. From what he understood, she was oni, just the same as Kazama, but this one at least had some manners…

Folding his arms in his haori, he gave a small glance around the courtyard as if that could tell him everything, even if the answer was already coming out of his mouth. “Sorry, but I haven’t seen her around today.”

This man was with Chizuru when they first met along with a few others. Her encounter would have been limited. Unfortunately, she didn't particular trust these men, but Chizuru did and that was enough. The stillness in the courtyard was enough of a hint and his words confirmed her suspicions, "I see, No, it's quite alright. Will you tell her I came to visit?" She would prefer not to wait around, even if she wanted to. Senhime would smile at him, "I should be going now. It's a long way back to my place." Did she trek here all by herself. That is correct. Without servants.

"You.." The oni grinned at the sight of a familiar female demon. She wasn’t an enemy, but certainly wasn’t his enemy. He wasn’t even sure if he could pin her as an acquaintance. "Do you really care, Senhime?"

"If wouldn't be here if I didn't care," she states. As a Princess, she knew it was her duty, even if she didn't care all that much. She kept her wit and nobility about her.

Ah, it's Kazama's cousin. It's been a while since she seen her, "A friend whose well-being I am concerned for, Mayu-sama." Respectively, the princess wouldn't expression her reasoning be because of her cousin and the Shinsengumi.
