i am a firm proponent of the palpatine killed padmé theory because of this sole reason: she would never leave luke and leia.

even though it would have been hard to live without anakin — undoubtedly, simply because she loved him so much — she was so happy to be a mother, and i don’t believe for one second that she would have just “given up” or “lost the will to live.”
