the thing that’s tough about this Justice/Harris discourse is that the ultimate goal is what? Justice apologizes for being talented and skinny?

the way i see it, Justice is an excellent actor who has done more than their fair share in championing queer media. i think if he wants to be in a show that is doing gang busters for mainstream queer representation, he has earned that and the decision should be met with celebration AND it is a shame that the best role for him in the show is Harris

i think he’s going to do an excellent job AND it is a genuine shame the fat community lost a real one today. i am counting down the days until some statement is released about how the book Harris isn’t going anywhere just because there is now a screen Harris, no one would have been completely happy with any choice.

where is it in the books that Troy is racist toward anyone? genuinely asking. I’ve read/listened to the entire series multiple times and have no idea what people are talking about when they say Troy is racist

can someone please show me where in the text it is? people on Twitter love saying he is racist as well as homophobic, and i can’t take it seriously without knowing what the hell they are actually referring to

trying to decide if what is happening is homophobia or not:

if the heterosexual leads of an immensely popular romance show were seen in public this many times they would be catching dating rumors left and fucking right

and if one of them also had a publicly long term partner, those cheating allegations would be going sicko mode

besides thinking it just makes sense storytelling-wise to split the long game into two seasons of HR and punt the wedding to season three, i also think it will be a much more satisfying emotional event if viewers are made to wait an extra amount of time to watch them get married in front of their friends and family if we have had more time to spend on screen with those friends and family members

if season two and three of hr include all the other main characters from the entire book series, which based on casting calls that leaked months ago lead us to believe it will, then watching them get married in front of this vibrant and supportive queer and allied community they’ve built for themselves over their decade long relationship with go soooooooooooo hard on screen

i don’t care about the chair thing or the should the first dance song be book accurate debate, i want the event to be overflowing with love and support to a sickening degree and i want jacob to shoot it as if his entire reputation rests upon its shoulders

friends and i passed through Toronto the other day and detoured through Hamilton to check out the filming locations. it was very fun to see a bride and groom doing a photoshoot at the Russian castle but my favorite part was at the pink tunnel and smoking doors we saw other freaks and pervs just like us checking out the spot and recreating scenes.

I have discovered a minor discrepancy between The Long Game and Role Model and I simply need to know if anyone else has noticed it:

The Long Game: when Ilya reenters the hotel after his facetime with Shane in the parking lot after the plane incident he sees Troy sitting at the bar alone, thinks to himself why Troy isn't with Harris, and then joins Luca and others at a table

Role Model: when Ilya reenters the hotel after his facetime with Shane in the parking lot, he joins Troy at the bar to drink whiskey and talk about "the important things in life"

It's crucial analysis of the text like this that fuels this fandom, I just know it

is anyone else clinically addicted to thinking about season 2? the idea of the long game being split over two seasons of television is so enticing. it’s almost too good to be true. there is so much depth in the long game alone and then you fold role model into it AND THEN you remember the interview where Jacob tierney said he had to write scenes for the years in between the books to show what happens during the passage of time and it is so easy to see how tempting it would be to spread it over two seasons of television in order to really sit and soak in the emotional beats of it all. i cannot stop predicting what is going to happen. i cannot stop playing showrunner in my head and going over how i would plot out the season if i were the one in charge.

i just spent an hour outlining my episode by episode predictions of season 2 of heated rivalry and the draft didn’t properly save so now i have to walk into the ocean

if that HR production schedule leak is to believed and they really are filming for double the amount of time it took for them to film season one then i actually think it would rule if they were filming seasons 2 & 3 back to back

it was all but confirmed that the long game is being split into two seasons. why not film simultaneously and then have a shorter release break between season 2 & 3.

it frees up a calendar year for the boys to film other projects. it gives Jacob time to work on that Netflix project that was announced before he has to work on adapting Unrivaled. everyone wins.

my Jack innanen prediction is they had him read for Dallas Kent and if he didn’t have the necessary range they gave him Wyatt Hayes

it feels obvious that he is going to be on HR2 in some capacity. Dallas is the more interesting role, if you include Tough Guy then he actually has a lot to do, and you’d think the character would be expanded during the adaptation process in the same way they are going to need to expand upon Troy for his character arch to hit on screen

we know Jack can do comedy and kindness so he would be a perfectly good Wyatt. i want to know if he has the range to play someone as amoral as Dallas
