Turning around, saying your name, and looking you right in your eyes when I told you I loved you for the first real life time was a moment I have never been more happy to catch.
The red in your blushing cheeks changed you.
That cold heart heated up and melted the iron exterior. Everything to rough became a costume that became uncomfortable for you to sit in.
You were no longer so simple.
I wish anyone other than me got to experience this moment. The most stubborn human being ever… I guess.. to everyone else, believing in someone.
This softness that supposedly doesn’t exist.
For years I listened to the person that people concrete in about your greatness, your legacy, your person. But I remember your pain that made you the person that you gave to everyone.
But I think about the person that made everyone else’s version of you so damn tough.
I remember this real person. This broken person. This person that everyone thought you couldn’t be. I remember the surprise in your existence that someone saw you and cared and you believed it.
