Before the light was called forth,

There was only Darkness

Distant voices getting closer

More vibrant

louder than before

I can't get myself to think

A mind so blank with fear

I listen to their commanding tune

I am torn asunder

O why do they torment me so?

What deed have I done so bad

That it warrants this torcher?

Why are they coming to me?

What can I do to escape this torment?

This never ending relentlessness

I've had more than enough

I just want it to end

But

I know

I can't think like that

I have to be strong to my bones

I must take charge

These voices against me

I listen not

what they say

It's my life for me

Now

I'm in control!

I cast the voices out

My will

enacted

I am in charge once more

Voices obey!

For you only exist because of me

I cast you out!

Forevermore

And I can finally

Finally

Be me.

Dear diary,

Today I felt again the weight of everything I’ve had to care for. Since I was little, I learned to be strong, to protect others before thinking of myself. Sometimes I get tired, but I know my heart could never ignore those who suffer.

I walk through the world wrapped in shadows, and some think it’s sadness… but for me, it’s freedom. My black clothes, my deep thoughts, everything is my refuge and my truth.

A soul that heals, even when it hurts.
