“I am physically, mentally and emotionally ready to enter a new phase in my life. I’m ready to grow and get better.”
— Unknown
a tumblr account should enable you to see everything on other social media sites without making an account there. like a student visa.
maybe i like my tech a little bit inconvenient
maybe i like pulling out my debit card instead of using apple pay. maybe i like untangling my wired headphones. maybe i like typing something into the search bar instead of using siri or whatever. maybe i like curating my own social media feeds over an algorithm. i just don’t think everything has to be perfectly streamlined and efficient i like it when things feel tethered to the real world.
I hate it when I’m really nice …. And then people are just not that nice ? The audacity
Joy Sullivan, "State of Emergency", Instructions for Traveling West
[ID: poem text reading,
"We never guessed how much we'd miss the hot and sticky hugs and standing close enough to whisper. Glory of reach and grasp, nudge, nuzzle, spoon and squeeze.
I've heard the phenomenon is called skin starvation and it's the reason infants are laid naked on their mothers' breast the moment after birth. Because touch is how we greet one another in almost every language and say: you are here and I am with you and we are not alone.
I confess I've not yet learned how to translate the gorgeous shock of seeing you. Even from 6 feet, I wonder if you can feel the electricity of my skin, pining in its sweat song, so helpless and hungry: hello hello hello."

i crave connection but fear vulnerability like a plague
can something good and pleasant happen to me now please
i am actually getting delirious like please
– Jamie Oliveira | from "Erosion"
Nobody gets to tell you how much time you need to do something. In what time you should finish school or in how much time you need to get over something. It's your decision, others can give their opinion but at the end of the day it's okay to simply tell them that it's just not in the cards for you. You don't need to become what others want you to be or expect you to be.
Mary Oliver
it's so crazy how you actually have to live through everything
would you still like me even if i experienced emotions
''i wasted those years'' who cares. you lived the only life you could've lived in those moments
