If you were to ask him this question, he’d probably answer someone like Benjamin Franklin, or Teddy Roosevelt, citing their charisma, and ability to be such a successful jack of all trades. It’s true- he has admired both figures since he was a kid, but in truth he looks up to nobody more than his own twin sister. She seems to poses all the qualities he lacks. She’s tactful, and perceptive- able to see right through people, and spot lies before they can even reach her ears. She’s empathetic, and kind without those traits ever making her vulnerable. It may seem like Alfred does nothing but argue with her, but don’t be fooled; she’s the person he aspires to be (he’ll die before he admits it, though).

7:00AM-ish is wake up time! Alf’s an early riser with an internal alarm clock that goes off at the same time every day, without fail.
He’ll then bumble around a bit as a grumpy zombie, trying not to wake any of his roommates up, before he goes to pour himself some coffee. God knows he wouldn’t make it through the day without a good amount of caffeine flowing through his system. Then comes cereal (you bet your ass its lucky charms, or cookie crisp. None of that ☆Healthy Whole Wheat Oats and Shitberries™☆ crap in this household.)
Then he’ll go for a run with Untitled_dog.png, or do something else for ??? exercise. He’ll also have to feed said doggy no-name.

Guess this means I’m no longer hiatus-ing.
[ Has evidently decided that a starbucks booth is a a WONDERFUL place to take a nap. He’s been like this for around 20 minutes, slumped over, face nestled in his arms. Cozy.]
Francis kept glancing over at the person who decided to sleep, wondering if he was alright. Once his customers had been tended to, he wandered over to poke the man to make sure he wasn’t dead or something. “Um, monsieur? Are you alright?”
Alfred actually wondered, ‘Is somebody hurt?’, before coming to the (obvious) realization that the question was, in fact, directed at him. ‘Monsieur’? That’s a bit odd. Also a bit french- Which is the odd part, all things considered.
He mumbles out something along the lines of “-french?”, his voice muffled beyond understanding in his sleeves, before the ensuing silence gives the impression that he’s gone back to sleep. What an enthralling conversation this has been.
Francis sighed slightly at how little of a reaction he’d gotten, though at least it had been enough to ensure that the man wasn’t dead. “Yes, French.” He rolled his eyes, then poked the man again. “As much as I’ve enjoyed this wonderful conversation, I should let you know that you’ve been here for about a half-hour, perhaps going home for a nap would be more comfortable than a table?” He waited for a moment, then shook his head dramatically and headed back to work. At least he wasn’t dead, dead tired yes, but not dead.
He showed no discernible reaction to the information- it was unclear whether he had even heard it. No signal to confirm, or deny that this (apparently very drowsy) cause for concern was (not) a.) drunk b.) high c.) ill d.) dying, or e.) all of the above. There was only silence, and a motionless mess of blond hair to go by.
At least that’s how it seemed for approximately twenty seconds as, in what can only be assumed to be a very delayed reaction, the man suddenly shot up in his seat.
“Did you say a half-hour!?”, he stammered, eyes squinted in a vain attempt to take in his surroundings- a near impossible task with his glasses tangled in his hair rather than resting on his nose. Okay, okay- uh, there are definitely people, some of them are definitely looking at him, aaaaand some time has definitely passed- 30 minutes according to this- barista? The haze of dark green where an apron would be suggests so, yes— oh Jesus Christ this poor barista.
“ Oh gosh, I’m so sorry- er, you haven’t been trying to wake me up for long, right?”
Francis crossed his arms to wait for any sort of response from the New-Yorker, and finally he got one about 30 seconds later. “Yes, A half-hour is indeed what I said…” He reached over hesitantly to tap the glasses off the poor man’s head and hopefully over his eyes where they presumably belonged. “Only about five minutes, and I don’t have any customers, so it’s not any huge inconvenience. Mainly I was making sure you were alright.” He glanced over at the counter to make sure there weren’t any customers waiting on him. “Though I would keep in mind that you’re at a coffee shop…with espresso.”
”Ah- Well, that’s a relief. “ His lips quirked into a smile- clearly dulled by fatigue, but retaining its lopsided charm. “Still, sorry my little ‘nap’ lasted long enough to worry you, and uh- oh.”
He quickly fixed his glasses, now returned to their rightful place. Well, this encounter just got all the more embarrassing. Nice job, Al, really selling that whole “hot mess” thing you’ve got going on.
“Thanks.” He breathed out a quick laugh, hoping it would elevate some of the awkwardness. “And, yeah. I didn’t exactly come here for the comfy stools.-” he gestured to the two empty cups on his counter “- Only so much caffeine can do for 40-something hours of no sleep.”

[lets out a quiet groan at the rather abrupt awakening. Funny, he didn’t intend to fall asleep here. Just to put his head down for a couple of seconds. Clearly it had stayed down for a couple too many, but- wait, hasn’t he heard that voice before?]

[Lifts his head, giving it a quick shake as if he could fling the exhaustion straight from his eyes and into no-longer-an-issue-land. Yeah, he wishes- and while he’s busy wishing for that, he’d better start wishing for better eyesight, because his glasses seem to have vanished in his moment of rest. Great. Still, he doesn’t need his glasses (which, by the way, are on his head) to put together who woke him up.]

[Looks up from his phone at the elevator’s ding, and slips in the device back into his jacket. As he steps out into the hallway, he can’t help but note, for maybe the third time since he’s entered how much nicer this apartment building is than his own. Even with the standard bland wallpaper, and dull-toned carpet, the little touches of decor, comfy chairs and the sheer cleanliness add an air of luxury that his own halls completely lack. But then again, Daniel’s an actor, singer AND model (damn that handsome, talented bastard), so it doesn’t exactly come as a shock that his place is a bit nicer than that of a college grad with 3 roommates, one dog, and a job as a pizza delivery guy. ]
[ Makes his way down the hallway in what he hopes is the right direction, his eyes scanning the doors as he passes. 15a… 156…15c…15d– ah, here it is. 15e. Damn, even the room number fonts are better.]
[Presses his finger against the buzzer, tucks his hands into his pockets, and waits.]

[ that said– daniel had been drinking a glass of soda while sitting on the couch, draped over the armrest, when he heard his doorbell. aaahh, that meant he had to get up now. lame. ]

[Puts on a smile of equal size, unconsciously running a hand through his hair- as if that did anything to neaten it.]
As if I’d bail on you. [He gave a quick laugh, strolling through the doorway.] Nice building you live in. Doorman was clonked out at his desk, though.
[He gave the apartment a quick once over. It was cozy- larger than Alfred’s, despite fewer residents, and god compared to his it’s downright spotless! A couple papers here and there, but who could fault anybody on that? ]
So, have you called in the food yet, or are we skipping right past that?
[He poked a bit of fun, eyebrow wiggle marking the joke clearly enough for anyone to catch]

Sakura was at home, playing with her cat, Momo, when her phone went off. She was hardly new to New York City, but she didn’t really have many friends, let alone people that texted her so she knew it was a complete stranger. And she was right, of course.
Part of her wanted to just ignore the message, but she decided against it and answered back. “Yes, I am sure you have the wrong number. I hope that whole situation gets sorted out cause it sounds and looks pretty messy. I would leave too if I was in your position.” She texted back. Sakura wondered for a moment if she was being way too blunt to a stranger…but it was a stranger. Who probably doesn’t really care nor do they know her. So why should she care about how she responded?
Alfred raised a hand to his mouth, feeling the warmth of his breath brush over his fingers as he let out an EXCESSIVELY loud yawn. Even his (still un-named) puppy looked towards him at the sound, and he could almost see- oh COME ON, isn’t it supposed to be spring by now!? How can he STILL see his breath at this time of year!? He supposes such a thing isn’t unusual at this time of night, no matter what month it is, but god damn it, he needs something else to be annoyed at after being forced out his own apartment in the middle of the goddamn night because of some stupid, lasagna-induced argument between his roommates. What else can he do besides 1. get pissed off at anything, and everything, or 2. find some miraculous pick-me-up to distract himself with.
The latter option came in the form of a buzz. ‘Huh, that wrong number decided to text me back.’, he thought, flicking open the notification. That was sweet of them-

Sakura was typing on her laptop, doing some work with a game design when she looked over and saw someone face down at a booth. She ignored it at first, but then time went by and they were still in the same position. Sakura bit her lip a bit, shutting down her laptop and putting it away before heading over to the person and poking their head, “Excuse me, are you alright?” She hoped they weren’t sick or something.
At first, there was no response. No movement, no nothing; however, after a couple long moments of silence, some smothered speech managed to escape the leather sleeves that they were spoken into. Now- this isn’t to say it was understandable. In fact, Sakura would have had to hold her ear almost against the source to even get a chance at untangling the mumblings, syllable from muffled syllable. If she listened very closely she might have been able to make out something akin to “ I’m alright, just tired”, but otherwise she had nothing but the assurance that Alfred was definitely alive (no need to dial 911 so far. Cross that off the list of possible ways to add some drama to this otherwise boring afternoon.)
