“Okay, since the showers are still full. Let’s see if your tactic will work.” It’s nice when women take charge, it brings a thrill to her bones. In a world dominated by men, there are those like Minah who aren’t too scared to take a step further that other girls wouldn’t do. “Pretend you’re interested in me and try to get my number.” Crossing her arms across her chest, below her breasts. A full view of twins sitting snuggly in her lace-up sports bra. Thanks, Victoria’s Secret. “Oh, let’s make it more interesting, let’s see if you can snatch a date with me. Go ahead, give it your best shot.”
this was going to be a blatant struggle. could already sense it, through the heat that seemed almost intent to rise on her cheeks, and the way she responded through a need to be closer. this was exactly why she tended to avoid the other girls here, in this room. it was too risky. she was sure she’d out herself eventually, through reckless nature and impulse. swallowing thickly, minah attempted to look everywhere but at seungah. a trial, in itself, by the way her eyes kept lingering.
“people can be pigs. you’d at least expect someone to give you their number with the intention that they want something more than sex. but, it’s easy to be proven wrong, right?” there was a bitterness laying in her voice, could only be picked up by someone who was willing to hear it. it had happened one too many times to her. girls questioning their sexuality, or simply wanting to experiment, using her for their own ends before leaving her high and dry. shouldn’t have to get used to it, though to a point, she was. being deep in her thoughts only helped slightly with the problem that was standing before her. god, it killed her when girls were confident in their own skin. enough to parade their bodies for all to see.
she could only shrug at that, though. the notion of women waiting for men to pick up on hints never interested her. their own worst enemies. and they always wondered why their crushes never showed interest in return. laughable, she thought, “it’s just a bit of common sense. sadly, a lot of girls don’t have that.” a sad reality, that they were practically trained into thinking that men had the upper hand. she could respect people like seungah for breaking passed that stereotype. couldn’t deny the fact that the idea of being the other’s friend brought a wave of happiness over her, though. didn’t have many friends, despite being as extroverted as she was. both a blessing and a curse, she supposed, “starting to? i’ll take that as a compliment.”
oh no. of course this would be the other’s way of passing the time. it was almost as though she knew minah was attracted to her, and would furthermore do everything in her power to watch as much unfold. she swallowed thickly, eyes dipping down to her chest for just a second. it was long enough to have her heart racing, though, as arms crossed behind her back. clearing her throat, she tried to apply a mask of confidence, one she’d usually wear around men that seemed to think they could win her over with a simple look, “i’m sure you get this a lot, and i doubt little old me is going to make a dent on that, but you’re gorgeous. but of course you know that, it’d be a crime if you didn’t. it’d be an even bigger crime if i didn’t, at least, try to get to know you.” so it had begun. she hadn’t convinced herself, though she could only hope seungah would at least humour her.
