Ada Evans

Born: JANUARY 9th, 1894 NEW YORK , USA

Occupation: Former secretary, Former waitress, former stay at home mother

Ada was born in upstate New York , but moved to the city in her teen years. She worked as a secretary throughout the First World War. Shortly before the end of ww1 she began working as a waitress where she met an Irish man, Cillian Evans who had been discharged from the war after receiving a more severe injury . The two married in February, 1918 and despite Ada’s apprehension in regards to children, they had their first son Joseph in December of that year.

The two were married for 21 years before Cillian died in 1939 of liver disease. After his death, Ada did not return to work and began to rely heavily on her eldest son.

Due to this and other factors, the children( Joseph, Lizzie, and Stephen) have a strained relationship with Ada.

Private Stephen Evans

Born: SEPTEMBER 7th, 1925 VERMONT, USA

MOS: Vehicle Mechanic 1944-

The youngest child of the Evans Family, Stephen strived to live up to his siblings. He enlisted as soon as he turned 18 and became a mechanic in the Army so he would have experience for a later civilian career.

Colonel Hilde Keller

Born: NOVEMBER 12th, 1906 COLORADO, USA

MOS: Medical & Intelligence Officer 1942-

Hilde grew up in Colorado and had natural leadership skills. She was an early member of the WAC and quickly rose up through the ranks.

Corporal Charles ——Charlie” Donnelly—-

BORN: July 14th, 1921 TEXAS, USA

UNIT: RIFLEMAN 1st MARINE DIVISION 1941-1944

Charlie was born in Texas and lived there until his early teen years when he moved to Vermont and met Lizzie Evans. The two were engaged in 1942 shortly before Charlie left to the pacific .

He joined the Marine Corps when he was 19 years old and participated in several key campaigns in the pacific.

SGT. Joseph Evans

Born: DECEMBER 18th, 1918 VERMONT, USA

HEIGHT: 5’10

MOS: INFANTRYMAN, 1st INFANTRY DIVISION 1942-1943

Joseph grew up with siblings Lizzie and Stephen in a quiet Vermont town. He was an active participant in town affairs and school. After his father’s death in 1939, he took on the role of “man of the house” and joined the army shortly after to make a better living for his mother and siblings.

His brother Stephen would also serve in the military, but not until later in the war. His sister Lizzie served as well.

He married his wife, Florence, before he went overseas and participated in Operation Husky, in which he received a severe injury to his leg and returned to the states in mid-1943.

After his return, he still wanted to aid in the war effort, so he took up a desk job in the Army until the end of the war.

Lt. Lizzie “Liz” Evans

Born:October 23rd, 1921 VERMONT, USA

HEIGHT:5’3

MOS:COMBAT NURSE TRAINEE 1942-1943

Liz grew up in a quiet town in Vermont with her mother, Irish WW1 veteran father, and two brothers. After her father’s death in 1939, All three children wanted to honor him with their service in the war.

Her older brother, Joseph participated in the Invasion of Sicily and was injured and sent home. Her younger brother, Stephen, also served in the Army later in the war.

After attempting training for several WAC occupations, Liz knew she wanted to be on the front like her brother, and she was going to do anything to make that happen.

Lt. Ruth Novak

Born: JANUARY 3RD , 1919 NEW YORK, USA

HEIGHT: 5'8

MOS: RADIO OPERATOR 1942-1943

INTELLIGENCE OFFICER 1943-

Growing up in the city with her brother and mother, Ruth was well acquainted with the latest technology by the time the war started. After her brother joined the Navy, Ruth was eager to put her skills to use towards the war effort.

Ruth joined the WAC, showing skill in radio operation and intel collection. Noted for her strong but reserved demeanor, Ruth was a crucial presence in her field. She was noticed when she aided intelligence operations overseas by pointing out a critical oversight.

Sgt. Mary Gillman

Born: APRIL 11TH, 1918 TEXAS, US HEIGHT: 5'6

MOS: COMBAT NURSE 1941-1943

COMBAT MEDIC 1943-

Mary grew up in the south with her 4 siblings , a stay at home mother, and a wealthy father who worked in the pharmaceutical industry.

Mary joined the nurse corps shortly after America became involved in the war , and was recognized for valiantly defending the aid station when enemies attempted to infiltrate it.
