No matter what, eventually, all worlds die. They may get too hot or too cold or have a collision event or even just get too old. We cannot hope to live on Earth forever, we cannot even hope for Earth to last forever - with or without us.

We should do our best to preserve our home planet forever as long as we can. If humanity lasts long enough, it will outlast Earth. But that doesn’t mean we should just give up on global preservation efforts. We should treat our birthplanet with respect, while recognizing that we will eventually *have* to leave it.
