Titanium Nitride
Often referred to as TiN, it is a very hard and durable finish applied to most metals. It has recently become a popular firearm finish option because of its corrosion and wear resistance, along with ease of cleaning. Several high end custom gun companies use TiN for their pistol, rifle and shotgun parts. It is a bit flashy because the finish is gold, so its not going to appeal to everyone. (GRH)

One Hand
Apparently since it’s FAL Friday, I figure post a Rhodesian “Baby Poop” FAL with a story. According to a forum post, the second photo depicts an odd armorers modification. The owner/operator of that FAL lost his right arm in a mortar attack but wanted to continue fighting. Creating a trigger bar and mounting a forward pistol grip, it allowed the one-armed operator to shoulder the rifle while using his left hand to pull the trigger bar which in turn actuated the original trigger.
