An award-winning alumnus of the California Western School of Law, Shaian Mohammadi earned numerous honors while completing his Juris Doctor degree. In addition to holding membership in the Pro Bono & Public Service Honors Society, as well as the Phi Alpha Delta International Law Fraternity—he served as a Member of the Moot Court Honors Board and as Ombudsman of the Student Bar Association. Shaian Mohammadi also acted as an Associate Editor for The Commentary Journal and held a number of internships with nonprofit and civic groups during this time. In 2017, Shaian Mohammadi received the Justice Wiley W. Manuel Pro Bono Award through the State Bar of California for his service to the community. Shaian Mohammadi continued his commitment to nonprofit and civic organizations after completing his law degree. He has volunteered his talents through the DreamCorps nonprofit initiative based in Oakland, California, as well as being a former Obama Administration Appointee. Shaian Mohammadi helped organize campaigns for politicians such as Barack Obama, and for various business-ad campaigns. Drawing upon internship experience with the United States Department of Justice, the Santa Clara County Public Defender's Office, as well as the California Innocence Project—Mohammadi plans to form a nonprofit group that offers pro bono legal services to low-income communities, many of whom are immigrants and women facing domestic violence. Currently, Shaian Mohammadi is gaining additional legal experience as a Paralegal for the Law Offices of Rafael Ureña & Curtis Morrison in Los Angeles, where he conducts case law research, prepares motions, and translates for Farsi-speaking clients. He concurrently serves as a Digital Marketing Strategist and entrepreneur with Dealer XT Technologies in San Jose, California.
