Nasturtium, Lemon-Scented Geranium, and Aloe fragments. watercolor. 2014.

This is my mini collection of naturally-dyed garments that I dyed with medicinal herbs. I used a combination of rose petals, calendula, and lavender on silk scarves, a wool yarn and silk tincture holder, and organic cotton tops that I sewed by hand. This project is about the healing properties of flowers both medicinally and energetically, and exploring the potential healing benefits of “medicinal textiles.” The piece was on display at The Berkeley Art Museum as part of The Possible project.
