I think while he knows it definitely works in business dealings, he's probably a little surprised to see how willing people are to approach him on the streets of Lumiose when he has 1 or more of his kids in tow.
Like another parent striking up a conversation with him for the first time when he's taking Apollo to the playground... like wow... people want to talk to me... they actually want to get to know me...? They want to organize playdates with Apollo?? Even knowing I'm the father?? Wild.
Or even like a parent being like "Ohhhhh, so you're the father!" and he expects to be shittalked but its like "I see little Apollo with Terra all the time! I've heard a lot of good things about you from her! Good to finally meet you!"

I could see Alouette wanting to be with her dad’s work during springs where she stays (especially as she gets older and prefers to over going to Hoenn). Tiny little sentient 5 year old with a :< face standing next to Beau. Have you ever thought of what she’d do in his office as she becomes an older kid? Offering snacks to guests. Tidying up things. I’m drawing blanks on what else kids would do ig and she seems so particular
I think Beau for the most part tries to keep her out of it, so she's quietly in the corner doing her own thing. Sometimes he needs to provide some kind of entertainment for her though, so he just messes up some documents on his table and gets her to sort them out just to keep her occupied (and perhaps she'll spot typos and such that she'll diligently report to her father after)
Occassionally she might interrupt mid meeting to come sit next to her dad but continue doing her own thing quietly. If this were Apollo he'd be a little stricter but because its his baby girl he lets her do whatever since she's quite well behaved anyway. Again, it tends to work to his advantage anyway cos it feels wrong to get mad at someone infront of a child.
She picks up negotiating skills and a better vocabulary than most kids her age from doing this, so she's quite eloquent for a child and gets bullied the least out of the 3 terbeau kids. How do you bully a pretty little girl that for whatever reason can debate better than most teenagers...? And also knows how to threaten people like a mob boss.

the recent post has me thinking... does shaving the kids in the office make clients less willing to fight back about loans or more shady deals for beau's scary evil community service?
maybe it could be because they don't wanna fight in front of kids, or maybe it softens their view on him now that they realize he's actually a father, so he can't be that bad... the latter might only work on any new clients, but then again, any potential returners to his business would know he's just signing you up for community service.

You know how you go to a bodega/mom and pop shop and sometimes there's like a cat or a dog that hangs out there that people start to associate with the shop? Perhaps Apollo is like that.
Like, down the line, the rumors of "that scary organization that forces you to do their dirty work" slowly turn to "the boss's kids are really cute, the son always waves at people.", "If you really need to get a loan, do it during Spring, the mom isn't around so the kids are sometimes in the office and I hear the boss is more lenient when they're around", and "Sometimes he'll be holding the baby girl during the meeting and it's soooo cute, you can really see the resemblance"

While Terraverse might be different, the ZA dlc basically says we catch a dream-made-real rayquayquay and will give it to Ansha when she’s older. If something like that happens in the Terraverse and Apollo finds out his mom gave another kid a sky god, would he want one too? À la “mom, catch me rayquaza :(“ or would he aim to do it himself?
Apollo has actually met both her Hoenn Rayquaza and Latios as he tends to follow Terra (if the school term permits) to Hoenn! Since she doesn't use her legendaries in battles, he gets to hang out with them quite a bit (though mostly Latios... Rayquaza's a bit too large most of the time...)
Eventually when he moves to Hoenn, he'll "inherit" them. I think respecting the legendary Pokemon is something she'd pass down to her kids though, so it's not like he's power hungry for one.
They're like guardians of sorts to him, they watch over him and he respects them, much like Zygarde back in Lumiose.
I cant stop thinking about the "terra needs to hug something when sleeping" art bc Im also a huge fan of corbeaus scolipide being a snuggle bug who takes up all of the bed. What im getting at is that if terra and beau both sleep best with their respective aces curled beside them, theyre gonna need a bigger bed😂💕

I think he does and proudly displays the more tasteful ones in the house or in a photo album and then keeps any of the possibly saucy ones (idk maybe swimsuits, that sort of thing) a secret.
Terra doesn't like being blindly supported, so Beau doesn't buy All of her photos out of respect. Only the ones he likes.

She only catches Legendaries that you're forced to in the game, so she has Rayquaza and Latios (though she doesn't constrain them to their pokeballs, they fly freely but can be called at any time)
It's a weird principle of hers to not disrupt the balance of the world if possible.
Similarly, she also does catch Zygarde but lets it do whatever the fuck it wants around the city, but will be by her side if she calls or it senses she's in need of assistance.

Friend was talking to me about Beau having to babysit the kids while he has to be in the office.
A client comes into the Rust Syndicate office for a meeting with the big boss himself. They’re sat down and are about to begin negotiations when they notice a little playpen in the corner of the office with a little boy and baby girl playing within its confines.
“My wife is out of town… and the babysitter is sick…” Beau tiredly interrupts, his hair slightly frazzled and dark circles under his eyes.
Negotiations go without a hitch, though with far less energy than usual. As the client leaves, Apollo runs up to the edge of the playpen to wave goodbye, which the client returns.
Pre-dating TerBeau really remind me of like. Kids making friends with someone in a park only to never see them again lol.
Did Corbeau think Terra would forget him? Maybe tell her friends she met this funny guy while on vacation and forgot how he was even called.
I do actually have a mini comic idea where he asks "Please - don't forget me" as they're like... super close to dating but not quite yet. Like, they both KNOW they like each other but just haven't made the move.
I think deep inside Corbeau has a big insecurity about being forgotten to those who are important to him. It's happened with his parents, and then with Lysandre, and that probably would fuck anyone up.

It's easy for those who revere him to remember him, but people who he views as friends and doesn't really want to have a threatening presence to are a different story entirely. I think because a lot of what he has is thanks to that large shadow he casts, he's not quite sure how he's perceived to people who stand in the light instead, if that makes sense? Is he even pleasant to be around? Are they only being 'nice' to him because of his reputation? Are they secretly scared of him and will ditch him the moment it's convenient?
I personally also think he tends to keep people at arm's length to prevent them from hurting him in this way ever again, even if deep down he really wants to be able to connect with others.
When Terra comes along and seemingly does enjoy hanging out with him after butting heads for a couple weeks, he starts wanting to always be around her. Partly because she's a lot of fun in general, but also because maybe, just maybe, if he keeps putting himself in situations where he gets to interact with her, he'll be someone who she won't forget.
But when Terra tells him stories that are like "this guy I met a while back, I can't really remember his name", I think he starts to worry that one day, he'll become one of the characters in her stories that she tells to someone else and nothing more.
When she reveals herself to be Champion, this fear of his only gets worse (amongst other reasons as well). Before, he felt like they were somewhat equal, but now he just feels like a Venipede compared to a Wailord. His mind immediately jumps to her going back to Hoenn and ghosting him, but that's quickly shut down after she makes him promise to treat her the same as before, and that she'd do the same.
That fear always lingers in the back of his mind though, or at least it did during the early parts of their relationship after she's gone back to Hoenn. They call each other everyday, but who knows, she could always find a better man back home. Over time it'll get better, once he sees that she always comes back to him.
