One day I will write a more in depth hc about Lilia’s relationship with her soon to be 14 year old step-daughter. 

But long story short, she loves Aby with all her heart and the split from Julian really isn’t going to change that. Delilah has a good relationship with Julian’s first wife and often is helping Abigail with her homework or will go along on field trips when neither biological parent is available. 

During one field trip at the start of Aby’s 8th grade year, Delilah was responsible for a small group of kids on a trip to the MET. It may have taken a small detour to take the group of girls shopping during the lunch break. 

During a sleepover, Delilah was around after being unable to perform due to a sprained ankle, over the course of the night, she taught a room of teenage girls how to properly blend makeup and perfect their brow game. And charge take out on Julian’s credit card since he was working late that night.

Smol fashion headcanons and quirks

Delilah legit wears full matching pajamas to bed, usually with a plain tank top under the top if it’s a button down. 

The second she gets home she is quick to change bras to a wireless bralette or t-shirt bra. She can’t stand the feel of the nips brushing against some fabrics. 

Force of habit and watching too much television led Delilah to wear heels just about everywhere in Manhattan. That said, she keeps a pair of foldable ballet flats in her purse to quickly change into. 

Delilah is picky with textures of fabric for clothes, often preferring jersey fabric or other soft knits and often strays from lace if she finds it too scratchy and stiff. With slacks she has a fondness towards twill if she can find it, but often does try to find soft and less stiff fabric. The noise of rain coats makes her uncomfortable and the feeling of the fabric equally so. Though she does have a London Fog hooded trench coat she uses during rainy days that she finds more tolerable. 

Whenever she has to type a paper for class, she never wears anything on her wrists, finding watches, bracelets, and even hairties to be something that gets in the way. 

On a similar note, Delilah is ambidextrous. She started as left handed as a child in Kindergarten, but due to Catholic schools in the 90s she was taught to write with her right hand. Eventually she just learned to swap hands as need be. Though, there are certain tasks that she will continue to do with her left hand such as holding a fork.
