Commandments of FinDom*
I am helping My friend get into FinDom, and I realized that there were not comprehensive tutorials on how to avoid very common FinDom problems, all in one place. Without further ado:
1. Avoid PayPal, if you can. If not, you can set up an account in your usual name with your regular home address, add your findom email (or a casual email that doesn’t reference findom), and then make the whole thing a business account with a non-descript name, such as JJ Financial or MR Consulting. Perform a (small amount) test transaction with someone you trust to ensure the whole thing worked.
2. If you’re getting an Amazon giftcard (GC), make sure to claim it IMMEDIATELY. Some “slaves” may rescind the money before you claim it, if you wait, and then you will never receive it. Also, when you claim the money, try to cash out as fast as possible, or send yourself most of the money to a vanilla account, where it will be safe. To do this: get a vanilla Amazon account / Send most or all of your account funds from your FinDom account to the vanilla Amazon account / use it.
3. Get paid upfront for everything. Skype sessions, all of it. The only exception to this is a reoccurring Tribute, which would occur once per time interval (week, bi-weekly, month). Do not accept any unsolicited job offers, or anything like that. There are not people who message you on Yahoo who are “recruiting” and just need to see your webcam for a while.
4. Use Google. If you’re looking for a place to sell your used panties, rather than needing to obscure your details from Craigslist, Google “used panty selling” or pretend you were trying to buy some and find sites that way. Ask for references on your respective social media sites. 5. Join groups on Fetlife that will help connect you with Kinksters that have valuable advice. Veteran Dommes, such as Myself, will be either happy to help or supremely bitchy. Don’t take it personally if you get the latter. Be respectful, not cocky, and We will probably help you.
6. When you sign up for sites, use your title for your first name and your Domme name for your last name. Or, if you use no title or a regular first name with a fake last name, use those. If you’re trying to be covert, do not ever sign up for a service using your real last name. You never know when it will pop up, and many people have had nasty surprises.
7. If you use a picture, make sure you don’t post it anywhere on your vanilla network sites (if you’re attempting to keep them separate). A simple reverse-search can lead a slave back to your vanilla sites, and ruin your chances at relative anonymity. Have pictures for vanilla life and pictures for your kinky work, and don’t cross post them!
8. If you have to, get a slave to pay your phone bill or put it in a different name. That way if someone tries to get your name via your cell number, it will come back with some guy’s name who is unattached to you. If you can’t change the cell phone bill name, a smart phone connected to a Google Voice number through Groove IP will give you anonymity (as long as you can’t Google your Google Voice number and it comes back to your real name).
9. If you have details that you don’t want leaked, don’t give them to anyone. This includes slaves. I have seen girls who had “trusted” slaves that they dropped information to, and that ended terribly. I’m not saying “don’t trust anyone” I’m just saying “if you don’t want information online, don’t put information online.”
10. Keep everything organized. Keep notes, take notes, update notes. Keep reciepts, hoard receipts, calculate receipts. Keep files of personal information (encrypted) on your drives, keep notes of each slave (including any threats or nonsense you receive), keep a personal blacklist so you do not encounter the same slave more than once, make sure you’re detailed.
Follow these ten commandments and you’ll probably have zero issues in FinDom other than time-wasters, bullshitters, or insults from fellow Dommes who hate the idea of FinDom for whatever reason.
