her lips peeled back, baring a row of white teeth - a rather amused smirk. “oh, i haven’t,” she retorted, tilting her head, teasing and coy. “in that case, it would certainly be more challenging, seeing as you have the abilities to take me down, but i know all of your weaknesses, katya.” the question was met with a bored shrug, the dating app seemed too unimportant that moment. “investigating.”  she was unable to maintain eye contact for long yet her trademark stoicism remained fixed. “i have, but we will search again. i just— i’d rather not.” the kiss is a surprise yet was greeted with a smirk. she had been dreaming about it for far too long. yet, it ended as abruptly as it started, she’s left reeling and begging for more. her hand moved to kitty’s hip, drawing her in closer, not ready for the moment to be over. she considered pressing her lips to kitty’s again, just for another minute, a second. that thought, however, and kitty’s own apology input, clenched her heart unexpectedly. she remained stoic, with lips still hovering over kitty’s, still sharing the same air. “no. do not be sorry. not when there’s nothing to be sorry for,” she told, gaze lifting to meet the other’s eyes. “why did you kiss me?” 

“oh yeah? what are they then ‘yana?” kitty asked with a sly grin. “because i don’t think you know, this is just one of your mind games, besides i don’t have any weaknesses.” she teased. “i’m pretty much unbeatable.” she laughed. kitty gave a relieved sigh at illyana’s words, glad she hadn’t been actually using the dating app for other reasons. kitty had had feelings for the other for years, she’d known she liked her since the moment they met but she’d hid it, for fear that illyana wouldn’t feel the same way and that she’d end up hurting her friend piotr in the process. she liked being in illyanas arms, liked being held by her as they kissed, nothing had ever felt more right in her life. she was terrified but also reassured by the fact that she’d felt illyana press back into the kiss, kissing her back, not just simply being kissed.  she looked back into illyana’s eyes, their lips only centimeters apart. “because---i love you ‘yana. i’ve wanted to do it for so long i’ve just been scared to. i don’t know what even came over me. it just felt like something i needed to do.”

“oh yeah? i think you forget who their leader is.” kitty replied, crossing her arms with a sly smirk.  “you think you could take all of them AND me? ‘cause i’m not so sure your chances are all that good there.” she teased. “wait---a dating site?” she asked, her voice laced with oviously jealousy. “what uh-what are you doing on a dating site?” kitty raised an eybrow. “haven’t you already looked? its okay to cut me, i promise.” kitty felt her heart swell at the feeling of the others hand on her cheek, a shy smile on her face. “maybe i should try this too then.” she said softly, wrapping her arms around illys waist and before she could stop herself she leaned in, pressing her lips against illyana’s soflty, pulling away after a few seconds. “sorry.”

“i dunno ‘yana, i think some of those babies could take you.” kitty teased giving the other a small nudge. “what’d you do to him before you made him dissappear? he normally likes you pretty well enough.” she said extending her hand to the other. “here take mine. he’s my best friend other than you so i guess i should help get him.” kitty blushed a deep shade of pink at illyana’s words, a dopey grin spreading across her face. “hey, if you want me to i’ll hold you.” she said with a shrug. “i don’t know anyone else i’d rather hold either.”
