trial 1 fuyuhiko peko subtle interactions my beloved

so amazing to me that fuyuhiko orders her to act like they dont know each other. and then as soon as she gets at all accused in the trial he jumps into the conversation, and then tries to prove her innocence (the whole 'maybe her food was spiked' thing, which if true, would've necessitated that the true culprit wasn't her), and then literally also reassures her the situation wasn't her fault afterwards

ik it would've never worked as a first experience of these characters, the climax of their relationship is put in chapter 2 for a reason (enough to let people get into the flow of things, but before the dwindling cast would make the twist of their hidden relationship obvious), but the idea of an sdr2 where their relationship isn't revealed until way later and so every trial has fuyuhiko jumping into the fray every time peko has any kind of suspicion cast upon her, becoming more and more clear to everyone else as time goes on that he's doing exactly that, is kinda funny to me. it's a straight up fact that he jumps into the convo to clear her of suspicion if she's being accused of the murder in every trial they're both alive for
