Blehhh and whatnot
i always thought this guy was very Mycroft Holmes coded
I wouldn’t be surprised if Ramsbottom was partially inspired by his character! I’m not super familiar with most iterations of Mycroft outside of the ACD books, though by the looks of it the DM production would’ve been more faithful to his initial depiction than a few of the official renditions. I do think Stephen Fry (who I’m pretty sure played Mycroft at some point) would be a great pick for (god forbid) a live-action Silas…
I remember him having some vaguely central-intelligence administrative job situation that’s pretty AVL-director-esque, too. I imagine Silas might also enjoy some time at the Diogenes Club to unwind and sip his tea in silence! I think I’ll add that to the roster of DM-related things I’d like to draw… the list’s getting pretty long, but I’m always open to more suggestions :0)

Forgot about this one! The US flag behind him is crazy work though
Still can’t believe this guy’s a published author… of a cookbook no less

You know who this mf look like lowkey
Ok mr off-road SUV
I mean the license plate reads “001” and he’s heading the sector it was likely issued from so it’s not too unreasonable to assume that car’s reserved for him…
Decided to try my hand at editing for the first time and I put the entirety of his deleted scene in as a placeholder but it’s kinda funny as is 💔
^ featured on a billboard in one of the minion movies, btw. Watergate is 100% canon in the Despicable Me universe
I’ve for sure thought a little too hard about Silas making pleasant conversation/sitting together at a table and dancing with Natalie during that wedding scene at the end of the second movie
It looks as if they pretty much stuck together the whole time, too — I wonder why that was. My best guess is that she was the only one at the (admittedly sparsely-attended) event who actively approached him/initiated conversation; she does seem the type to keep one enthralled.
Her casual conduct around him was likely something he wasn't used to, given his status back at the AVL. She had no way of knowing who he was, obviously, but I doubt that it would have made much of a difference if she had... and he seems really, genuinely pleased to be hanging out with her. I expect it was a bit of a welcome change of pace, for him. A little taste of civilian life/normalcy, maybe? A chance to shed the "director" title for a bit? I wouldn't assume that he has many opportunities to do such a thing; it must have been quite thrilling.
