Hello London and Canada House!

We've all arrived and received a very warm welcome from both the city of London and the lovely people here at Canada House in Trafalgar Square, which is where I am writing this post from! This afternoon we are going to a reception for the families of Canadian track and field athletes which is hosted by Athletics Canada here at Canada House. Canada House is amazing! Lots of Canadian beer, an HBC store and a salon and spa for the families of athletes-- don't mind if I do!

So far everyone has been having a great time- yesterday Jason and I went to Hampton Court with his Aunt Margaret and everyone else got in yesterday and were busy settling in to the flat which will be home for the next week. We got to see a bit of the women's marathon as they ran through Trafalgar Square. Dad went to see Sheila (it was a powerbar delivery) and she is feeling great and very excited for Tuesday. We hope that you are, too! Don't forget to tune in between 5:55am and 6:50am Toronto time!!

Opening Ceremonies!

We hope that everyone was able to catch some of the amazing opening ceremonies last night! Though Sheila did not walk in the opening ceremonies, she will participate in the closing ones on August 12. Be sure to mark August 7 on your calendars as that is the date of Sheila's first race! Tuesday August 7, 2012 between 5:55am and 6:50am EST.
