Sheith Miraculous LadyBug AU

Because these two use Red and Black as their main costume and it’s giving me Sheithy feels. And who doesn’t love a love square. Basically:

Shiro can turn into the super hero Chat Noir who has the power of destruction. Keith can turn into the super hero Ladybug who has the power of creation. Keith and Shiro go to school together. Chat Noir and Ladybug are a hero duo.

Keith is in love with Shiro in school, but doesn’t hold anything more than platonic affection for Chat Noir. Chat Noir is in love with Ladybug, but only considers Keith a friend.

Which leads to some very interesting adventures. Especially when the villains’ work sometimes ends with these two having to “pretend” to be in love.

BONUS: Lance is Shiro’s best friend who’s dating Keith’s best friend Pidge. They see the pining and mutually agree to get these two together at some point. When they take their heads out of their butts.

The Parent Trap AU

Okay so, modern AU where Shiro and Keith do the good old cute-meet, friends to lovers/mutual pining, developing relationship drama and are finally married. It’s all going perfectly and after a few years of marriage, they adopt two twin girls they name Jacqueline and Samantha. They’re happy, their baby girls are healthy and life is good.

Until it’s not. Keith begins having troubles and leaves in the middle of the night, with only a letter behind to remember him by and Jacqueline in his arms. Shiro, heartbroken, raises Samantha alone and preys that one day his husband will come home.

12 years pass.

Shiro and Samantha decide to sign her up for summer camp and Shiro spends the summer sending letters to his little girl until it’s time for her to come home. A tearful reunion on both ends, they spend that evening talking about all the things she’s done and the people she’s met while cooking food together.

Shiro is a very observant person though and it doesn’t take him long to realize his little girl is acting a bit unusual. Samantha is close to being a teenager and is bound to go through changes, but it’s still odd how his grumpy morning kid turns into a cheerful early bird as soon as she’s back. It’s still odd how his adventurous, adrenaline junky kid isn’t as chatty about rock climbing as she usually is. It’s still odd how his little girl who swore to never get her ears perceived is suddenly sporting studs and staring longingly at dangling ear jewellery.

Shiro talks to her and that’s when he hears something he never thought he would:

“Papa, I’m… I’m Jacqueline.”

It turns out that his little girl had met her twin at summer camp and the two had decided to swap places so they could finally meet their other dad. Shiro spends hours holding and crying into his lost daughter’s hair and learning about her life. The next day though, Shiro knows he needs to get her back to her father and so, for the first time in 12 years, calls his husband on the phone. Shiro nearly cries so many times through the call as Keith also reveals Samantha is with him and they arrange for them to swap their daughters again.

Keith and Samantha travel across the country to make the switch and the first time Keith and Shiro see each other face to face is… emotional to say the least.

You can decide what happens next, because that’s all I can think of, but maybe consider these too:

Shiro and Keith never stopped wearing their wedding rings through those 12 years.

Keith left because he thought he was burdening Shiro.

Samantha and Jacqueline calling each other Sam and Jack over the phone so their dads don’t know they’re talking to their twin.

Shiro keeping the letter Keith left behind next to his bed and reading it every night.

Keith never taking off this necklace Shiro gave him and kissing it every night.

Jacqueline and Samantha playing match maker with the help of Uncles Lance and Hunk and Aunts Allura and Pidge.

Thought, Galra show affection differently than humans. They’re aliens their body language isn’t a one to one match for ours and neither are their customs. There are certain ways a Galra behaves around a mate vs. a close friend vs. an acquaintance, that a human just wouldn’t pick up as a meaningful difference. Maybe even certain pheromones they let off that show how they feel, that a human nose couldn’t detect.

Well at least some of this behavior is instinctive, and without anyone around to model polite Galra body language to Keith. He just rolls on pure instinct. This is my favorite person in the world, so I’m going to stand in their space and give off all these nonverbal cues saying as much.

This is fine for most of his life. Shiro gets the gist that Keith really likes him, even if he thinks its purely platonic, so there isn’t any embarrassment involved. Right up until Keith joins the BoM.

See a Galra looking at how Keith behaves around Shiro, always standing beside him, physically perking up anytime Shiro speaks, and the constant physical touches they exchange, sees someone telling the world that they are in a relationship. Maybe a bit insecure due to the need to advertise his relationship even during very important meetings and briefings but definitely mated.

Keith’s answers to how they met, how utterly important Shiro is to him, and his willingness to sing Shiro’s praises to anyone who will listen, only further cement this idea in their heads.

All is fine and dandy until Kolivian calls Keith and Shiro mates in the middle of a meeting. Cue very confused denials, and an absolutely mortified Keith when someone explains what he’s been doing and how that has been interpreted.

The Gift Of The Magi AU

For this Christmas Season, Gift of the Magi Sheith AU. Shiro and Keith both want to make this Christmas Special for the other.

As the Golden Boy of the Garrison, Shiro has been selected to play a large role in a promotional tour around the world for the Garrison over the Winter Holidays. Keith, while a good pilot, is not a people person and is left behind to do whatever he wants. Most likely ride his old but treasured hover bike over the desert surrounding the Garrison.

They both confide to the other that they want to spend Christmas together, but alas it seems it’s not meant to be.

Well secretly, Keith decides to pawn his hover bike for the cash he needs to buy a non-refundable ticket to fly to the location the Garrison tour is supposed to be on Christmas Eve. Shiro on the other hand, decides that while this tour is an honor, for once in his life he wants to be selfish and spend his vacation with Keith. He convinces Iverson to find a replacement for the tour.

Low and behold, when they run to tell each other the good news, they find out what they’ve done.

Bonus: Shiro and Keith decide to get a job together over the holidays and save up enough to not only buy back Keith’s hoverbike but fix her up good as new.

Soulmate au where shiro and keith dont have soulmarks (sheith,angst)

on earth 99.9% of all humans have soulmarks, keith and shiro are basically the only two that dont

Keith becouse his galra heritage prevents it, and shiro becouse his mate cant have one

they deal with it in very different ways

shiro deals with it by lying and saying he has one, but its in a very private place and hard to descrive 

keith does by avoiding any soulmate and soulmark talk like the plaige

they love eachother but are convinced they cant be together since there “the one” will just one day come in and swoop them away from eachother, or in shiros case he’s convinced keith already found his soulmate and they died, since keith avoids soulmate talk like a man morning

shiro finds out keith might be his soulmate earlier then keith, after the trials of memora while he’s helping keith patch up

shiro has no time to tell keith that he also has no soulmark, becouse there are too many people around and too much to do immediatly and then shiro is lost, somewhere 

a clone returns in shiro’s place, a clone with a soulmark in a unmentionable place who finds his soulmate while on the team 

keith…doesnt deal well and trys desperatly to be on as many long, dangerous missions with the blade away from voltron(away from shiro and shiros mate)as long as possible, with cut communications

nobody really understands why keith is so upset everytime shiros lost, he acts like a soulmate whos mates indanger but there only good friends, its wierd to a lot of people

then, the clone is found out while keiths away, and flees with their mate, and real shiro returns

and is very, very stressed about keith being on a long mission away from everyone with no communications

and is more stressed when keith just, goes from one mission like this to the next imediatly without even a pit stop to the castle, and the third time, then the fourth, by the fifth shiros half convinced keiths dead and the blade are just trying to keep it from him and finally lets it slip when the team questions why it bothers him so uch that keith is probably his mate

and then team volton works to cut keith off before the next available mission, only for him to have been badly injured on the last mission and informed by a grim kolivan that keith didnt make it to the escape pod

cue shiro tearing the base kolivan said keith was at apart looking for him, eventually finally, Finally finding him barely alive in a cell and rescuing him

then keith recovering enough to hear the good news, that shiro could be keiths mate if keith wanted to be shiros mate

and happy ending

or bad ending where shiro finds keiths dead body floating out in space and freaks out, maybe pulls a zarkon for keith, maybe not, maybe clones keith so he can at least be around A keith, maybe not

however you like your sheith :)

Garrison AU

Keith doesn’t like attention. He wants to do his work, keep his head down, and disappear into the background. It’s how he got through most of his childhood, but now he’s at the Garrison and that doesn’t work anymore. 

Keith is breaking records left and right, his fellow students are jealous, and professors are using him as an example in class. Even the Golden Boy of the Garrison has started to take an interest in him. All Keith wants to do is be left alone, but one black haired prodigy refuses to be put off by Keith’s prickly exterior.

Soulmate AU

Sheith Soulmate AU.

Soulmate bonds are mildly empathetic. When one member gets angry the other starts to feel irritated without being able to pinpoint why. One member of the pair keeping their cool, can literally help the other calm down.

Shiro and Keith are soulmates. They found out through trial and error in the Garrison. Their empathetic bond has been a source of pain and strength for them both during their trials as paladins.

Cue Shiro coming back in Season 3. He feels like he’s missing something important, but his headaches and duties keep distracting him from thinking about it. Until slowly, he begins to realize that his soulmate’s emotions aren’t effecting his own at all, even though he has plenty of memories of them doing so in the past.

Unwitting sleeper agent Kuron, who still loves the man he thinks is his soulmate.

Were-cat AU

Sheith Were AU.

Keith is a were-housecat. Keith’s were form is a small black cat with strange violet eyes. He likes the physicality of his were form. It lets him get places no one else can and get up to all sorts of mischief, but as a child he was teased relentlessly for being so tiny and non-threatening in his were form. He’s taken to hiding his were form from others.

Enter Shiro, who wonders where his new friend gets off to on the nights of the full moon, and why he keeps seeing this black cat stalking him.

Prompt: Shiro realizes he's alone. When Matt finally is found they had their reunion, Shiro realizes that not only is Pidge's father is missing but someone else. Shiro hasn't reached out to the team about his reconnection with Black and they haven't heard anything from Keith in weeks. He still has his role, he even is back as the Pilot of the Black Lion but somehow he feels just as incomplete as before.

Allura (secretly possessed by Haggar) a sneaky witch who kidnapped Shiro into becoming her husband with enchanted food goo, after he reminded her of her true love, (who she accidentally killed when she forgot humans couldn’t endure as much as witches) she’s sure he’s a reincarnation. Her kidnapping didn’t go exactly to plan, Shiro wandered into her woods with a friend, some pipsqueak in glasses talking about rock samples, but she worked with what she had, and made her perfect life: doting husband Shiro and sweet dog Rover. 

Life was perfect, until she caught Rover desperately begging her husband to leave her. Her medicine couldn’t cure him, and so Shiro bore the burden of taking him to the woods and putting him out of his misery. 

A year passed before anyone wandered through her forest again. This time a scrawny young man, who she recognised something familial in him, and so she decided that after they’d owned a dog, the next step was naturally children. The fact that he recognised her husband was enough to help her manipulate him into eating dinner. She notices the moment her spell works, slipping over him like a veil. He calls her mother, her husband father. She smiles. 

Keith wakes up the next morning with his memories clouded, but he’s not under the spell any more and he decides to rescue Shiro by playing along. Shiro doesn’t recognise his words, but Keith pieces together that the food goo is poisoning them (as Allura never eats hers) and so Keith pretends to eat his but hides it under his sleeves. He only needs to have Shiro stop eating it so the spell will weaken enough for rescue, he’s sure. It seems impossible, mother has him on lockdown. It’s painful to watch: Shiro disappeared over a year ago. “Matt needs some samples for his geology class and I’m going with him to help, I’ll be back by Sunday, and we can go on that date I’ve been promising you.”

At first he assumed he’d been stood up, and then he’d been questioned by police. Weeks turned to months, and Keith had been told he needed to move on, to let go of his past so he could live again. He’d gone to say goodbye, when instead he’d found Shiro chopping wood outside an ancient-looking cabin. His instincts had told him to run, but he refused. Not without Shiro. And so he’d been lured inside, sat down to eat, the whole time keeping his focus locked on the man who no longer seemed to recognise him, and who held the hand of some woman he didn’t know, wedding band glinting off his hand and piercing his chest like a dagger. 

A few weeks after his capture, three more kids are stolen, actual children, and Keith curses his luck: he knows Shiro would never leave them behind, and that meant Keith now had four people to rescue instead of one. One of the kids seems similar to Shiro’s friend Matt, even though her name is different. When he sees her carefully pretending to eat the food, she catches his eye and fear writes itself across her face. But he ignores it. She corners him later the same night, and he explains. Together they make a plan, but her focus is on trying to find her brother. Lance and Hunk are already brainwashed, and Keith can’t feel angry - it was only because Allura made a mistake with her recipe he didn’t end up like them. (He assumes, actually he’s half witch and so her magic doesn’t work on him as easily, although he has no idea about that.)

Pidge is sure her brother can’t have ended up like Shiro. “He doesn’t trust strangers, he wouldn’t have eaten that crap” I don’t know if they manage to Pidge and Keith must find the human-sized shallow grave only marked with a wooden sign “Our beloved pet, Rover”, or the spade in the shed that looks like it’s covered in blood. They probably dig him up. At some point there’s a fight between Allura/Shiro and Keith/Pidge, Shiro won’t have anyone insult his wife, not even his own kids, and Pidge isn’t even sure she finds Shiro blameless in Matt’s murder. Pidge manages to dislocate Haggar from Allura’s body, and in her rage she went to attack Pidge, but Keith pushed her away. He took the attack (which should have killed him.) The combination of Haggar’s true identity, and the man he loves lying “dead” on the floor snaps Shiro from his spell. He attacks the witch, killing her, before rushing to Keith’s side. (Whilst Pidge attends Allura. I mean I guess this could be Pallura too? Alluridge?) Happy ending yaay! Or sad ending…?

Shiro was abducted as a child whilst going on a day trip with Matt and Sam Holt. Eventually he was rescued by Inspector Ulaz, but the Holts weren’t as lucky, and Colleen Holt only got to bury her husband. The Galra clan were implicated to be involved but evidence was always corrupted or lost, and the case was dropped due to corruption. Years later Shiro is now a detective, working with Keith on a case where a former government official (in office during Shiro’s teen years) is found disembowelled and strung up. The case isn’t the usual, no scorned lover or insurance payment, but traces of evidence tying the official to the Galra make the pair think of a vigilante. After the second murder, this time of a lawyer who represented the Galra during the Holt/Shirogane case, Shiro realises they’re dealing with a serial killer. Although the murders seem to be focused on people responsible for his kidnapping or lack of justice, he’s still determined to put this psychopath behind bars. Because it’s the right thing to do, right? Eventually, fingers start pointing at Shiro himself. He has a motive, opportunity, lack of alibi (he’s fairly secular, and the murders all happen when he’s not on-shift). He’s arrested, only released when a new body is found, the murder happening whilst he was locked up. At least he was treated nicely, given coffee and allowed to keep his shoelaces, perks of being a generally good guy and friendly with anyone, including the cops in charge of the cells. 

“Three days, right? Shame I can’t do any paperwork whilst I’m down here. My backlog is going to be huge.” 

“Want me to ask Kogane to get you something to work on?” 

“You’re a star, McClain” 

During the time they’d spent together on the case, Keith had been a comforting presence. Shiro had been mostly fine, having had a decent therapist in school to work through his problems with, but the murders had started bringing back bad memories. His and Kogane’s partnership had been hostile at first until he’d saved Keith’s life, and after that he’d become a person more important to Shiro than he’d like to admit. Some of the comfort Keith had offered had slowly turned to romantic affection between the two, and without the shared love they had Shiro doubted he’d be able to remain objective during the case. 

It’s only after he spends the night at Keith’s place, when he starts noticing things out of place around the apartment, things a detective couldn’t have but a murderer should, that everything clicks into place. 

And then there’s a knife at his throat and a hand on his back. 

Keith loves him. He’d been disgusted to hear about Shiro’s past, face hanging low over bourbon one night after work years ago. In that moment, he decided to fix things so the people who hurt Shiro couldn’t walk free - they didn’t deserve to. He didn’t expect Shiro to love him back though, and he’d made mistakes. Indulging Shiro by taking him to bed meant he now had his love tied down to it, knife at his throat. 

No, he’d never meant for Shiro to find out, because he knew it would hurt him. The howls of pain weren’t made by a blade, but by the sound of Shiro’s heart breaking, and it tore Keith open.

Season 4 Spoilers

This blog will be using the tag “Season 4 Spoilers” to mark sheith fic ideas and prompts with spoilers for the weekend after season 4.

I'm finding the layout a little difficult to navigate? Example, I did have a link earlier to things like 'short prompts', 'long prompts', 'multi-prompts', etc., but on your home I can't find this at all (nor in the 'tagories'). The layout also takes a while to load on a slow connection, although it does look awesome, I'll admit!

I’ve added a new tags section that will contain the tags for navigation “Other Tags”. 

Sorry about the load time, I was informed back at the start of this blog that using the standard tumblr format was a bit of a turnoff for a lot of people. This was the only format I could find that kept things simple while still being cleaner looking. If it becomes too much of a problem, I’ll see what I can do.

-Shiro is a nurse who gets stood up for his date with handsome biker Keith. He goes to work the next day to find that Keith is the new patient on the ward, after getting into a bike crash that left him in a coma. Shiro could be fine taking care of him or Shiro could… become a little focused. Keith has no visitors.

-The morning after a christmas office party finds Keith waking up to distinct memories of going down on his super-professional boss he’s been pining over since he got the job.

-A monster/demon HS au where Keith is outcast, half human half <..something else?>, and he’s completely enamoured with his teacher. Shiro, a fallen angel now taking the shape of a Faun, is teaching when he’s allowed by his handler - Commander Sendak of the Seventh. He really enjoys teaching, but he’s only allowed there as a part of his assignment - to encourage/manipulate Keith to be a part of Zarkon’s plans. Shiro used to be beyond caring anymore, but Keith’s humanity ignites the only part of his soul left uncorrupted. -After the Galra Empire is destroyed and the services of Voltron are no longer required, Keith returns to Earth. There isn’t much for him any more. The identity and role of his parents had been resolved, he’d taken his bond with the Black Lion further than anyone before, discovering powers even Zarkon hadn’t known her to possess. But it had come at a cost: he’d tried to save Shiro, and he’d failed. He still couldn’t wash the blood from his hands, “as many times as it takes” playing on a loop in his mind as he scrubs at his skin under boiling water. His duty was over, and so he returns to Earth. But a battle-damaged 10,600 year old castle ship’s Teludav isn’t as reliable as hoped, and he returns a few hundred years after they found the blue lion. Keith copes, because he’s a survivor. Until he runs into another Shiro clone, only without the scars or the prosthetic or the white patch of hair. An exact replica of the man he knew from the Garrison, only without any memory of him at all. Keith comes to realise that this man isn’t a clone at all, but a second chance at keeping his promise. 

-Shiro struggles with his body confidence after a crash left him covered in scars and missing an arm, he becomes afraid of intimacy. It’s suggested he start talking to an escort, people trained in making people feel good about themselves when naked. Keith is an escort…

Nesting

Omega Shiro/Alpha Keith Fic Idea courtesy of @keith-and-shiro-were-dating

Shiro’s life has always been stressful. From his time as the Golden boy in the Garrison to the leader of Voltron. With all eyes on him, Shiro has been forced to shoulder that stress and show no signs of feeling the pressure, especially not in stereotypical omega like ways.

Keith has always felt honored that Shiro doesn’t feel the need to hide his omega side from him. That during exam season he could walk into Shiro’s room to find him hiding in the middle of a ring of blankets and dirty laundry and all the Omega would do is ask Keith to grab the towels from the bathroom or loan him his undershirt. He loved that Shiro felt safe being himself in front of him, and he loved even more that if he was very good, Shiro would trust him enough to let him into his nest to cuddle.

Keith hasn’t seen Shiro nest since he returned from the Galra. When he has time to think about it, he reasons maybe Shiro got out of the habit after being stuck in a cell with no nesting material for a year, or even the stress of being the leader of Voltron is so small compared to fighting for his very survival every day that Shiro just doesn’t feel the need.

Needless to say Keith is a bit shocked when he walks into their room one day to find Shiro pressed into a corner with everything they own piled in a semi circle around him. The nest looks so different from the ones Shiro used to make that it takes Keith a moment to realize what he’s seeing.

Shiro’s old nests were soft places of comfort, hiding, and rest. The new nest might fulfill hiding, but it’s hard. Built from paladin armor, borrowed training equipment, and furniture. A literal wall between Shiro and the rest of the world.

Keith could respond several ways, but I’m particular fond of the idea of the Alpha rushing around collecting soft things and things that smell like Keith and offering them to Shiro in his nest. Slowly coaxing the Omega to add to it until it’s changed from a hard place to protect himself to a soft place to rest. Either on his own or with his Alpha.

I do love this prompt. 

I was tempted to write it and label it “Building Walls”, but … I feel - with these longer prompts - they’ve already been pretty much written and complete in their own right, but that being said -! I would have tweaked the ending just ever so slightly, as it did draw some interesting comparisons to Keith’s vlog.

I think I prefer the idea of Keith asking permission to step inside the nest, where Shiro reluctantly gives permission, and - together - they sit inside the uncomfortable and hardened fort/nest. Shiro asks why Keith is in there, when it’s hardly a comfortable place, and Keith responds that he builds walls himself, and - while those like Lance and Coran try to bulldoze through them - Shiro is the only person who’s ever climbed over them, respecting boundaries.

Shiro never tried to change Keith, and so Keith won’t try to change Shiro. If he needs the hard walls and fortress-like nest … so be it, Keith will respect that, because it’s what Shiro needs and he wants for Shiro’s needs to be met. Shiro blinks away tears, happy for the mutual respect and trust, and brings Keith in for a long hug, happy for the softness of his friend/partner’s body in the hard nest.

Keith breaks the moment up with a whispered:

“Still, I’ll take a pillow if you’ve got one.”

Shiro laughs and allows for the concession, so that - while he keeps his walls - Keith is allowed his comfort, and together they rest inside the nest … slowly, over time, the walls come down and more comforts are added, until one day Keith returns to their/Shiro’s rooms and realises Shiro - of his own volition and choice - has created a luxurious and soft space for them both to nest.

Oooo, I like your take on it.

I should say that, especially with the long fic ideas written by myself, a lot of these aren’t traditional fic fills. They are meant to help inspire as much as being taken as literal requests to other writers. If you get an idea that runs off in another direction, please do take it. That’s a success story as far as this blog is concerned.

Imagine how full of questions he’ll be;

’N O ! This food looks and smells weird!!… There’s huge lion robots here?… Yeah! I pinky promise you’ll take me to them if I finish my food!’

'Hey, hey, who is the scary guy wearing red? He’s really really pretty.’

'I wanna huuuuug. Keith, Keith, hug?’ *insert Shiro almost bowling Keith over*

'Wow! I have a robo arm! But.. why are there so many lines on my body? Why is a part of my hair white? I’m six, not a grandpa.’

’KEITH! There’s a monster who just passed outside my door! They have these yellow eyes and purple and scary. I- I don’t want to sleep alone. Can- can you scare away the monsters for me?’

'No no NO! I don’t wanna sleep! The bad dreams will come again! How do I get rid of the bad dreams??’

I've made my own post about this in the past, but: Dragon Age Inquisition AU, where Shiro is the Inquisitor, and Keith is working with the Inquisition somehow (I like to picture him as maybe Cassandra's apprentice, but I'll take whatever works for whoever picks up the prompt. But it's an easy way to incorporate a lot of "training together" scenes.)
