Jay-Z did an album with Jay Electronica. Originally, Jay-Z wanted to be a political activist Rapper. He, instead, though made the gangsta album Reasonable Doubt, and then followed that up by becoming a Pop Rapper.
With Electronica, he goes back to his extreme roots. On the track “Ghost of Soulja Slim,” they feature one of the most well known antisemites in America- Louis Farrakhan. It would be like if Kid Rock had a song with an intro from David Duke.
Farrakhan discusses Black people as slaves, and tells them not to defend the enemy, which would be Jews.
In his verse, Jay-Z describes himself as not being a sell-out after Reasonable Doubt because he is a Black success story. He argues that only others making money off of his music are soulless. The lyrics don’t really make any sense. The Pop Rapper seems to be describing Rap music as a crumbling civilization.
Jay Electronica opens up his verse by agreeing with Jay-Z that they two are prophets. He, then, references an ancient Jewish holy site where Jews are barred by Muslims from entering. He says that the point of Jay-Z’s business Tidal is this political activism. He, then, calls Jews demons in service of Satan, and says he is going to crush these “White” people.
Calling Jews “White” is how antisemites get left wingers to be racist towards them. As I’ve gone over here, all Jews are Levantines. A big part of their ancestry is Middle Eastern. They’ve literally been oppressed, murdered, and raped for thousands of years because they are this minority ethnic group from the Middle East.
Electronica argues that the existence of Jews brings trouble. He glamorizes terrorist attacks on them, and says that what Jews need is a “hole in the head.” He finishes by describing the Final Solution as a “universal therapy.”
Jay-Z wraps it up by explaining this politics is what makes him not a sell-out, and that racism is just factual, which is what their counterpart on the far right-neo-Nazis-say.
