A pharmacist and member of the American Pharmacists Association, Sherif El-Refai attended the pre-pharmacy undergraduate program at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill. Additionally, from 2006 through 2007, Mr. El-Refai worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Eckerd Pharmacy in Cary, North Carolina. Following this position, in 2007, Sherif El-Refai became a Government Sales and Operations Intern at Ideal Precision Meter Inc., a premier manufacturer of meter movements, where he worked until 2010. Sherif El-Refai graduated from UNC with a Bachelor of Science in 2010. He made the dean’s list and earned a place in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Mr. El-Refai went on to complete his Doctor of Pharmacy, also at UNC, during which time he undertook multiple clerkships. He completed a clerkship focused on intensive-care unit trauma at Pitt County Memorial Hospital and another focused on clinical pathways in oncology at UNC Memorial Hospitals, among others. To date, he has completed 10 clerkships. Committed to understanding all aspects of the practice of pharmacy, Mr. El-Refai has experience developing and submitting business plans that incorporate pharmacy services into preexisting medical departments. He has completed independent research for the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacists, and he gained experience working as a pharmacist, a position he held from 2011 to 2012. Most recently, Sherif El-Refai enrolled in the University of Florida Hough Graduate School of Business, where he plans to earn his Master of Business Administration. His course load concentrates on marketing and global management and competitive strategy.
