ICT Project for Social Change
Communicating with individuals and such organizations requires method and technology such as an ict by the help of computer systems.
-Information technology serves as the engine for economic and social development the wealthy countries of the world today
- ICT is generally seen as a useful tool to employ better and cheaper communications and to facilitate the generation of knowledge.
- Ict evaluation can be defined as establishing by quantitative, and qualitative methods the value of the ICT to the organisation
- Performance cannot be judged as good or bad w/o the successful implementation of the project.
- Evaluating ICT projects can be quite problematic and can sometimes be quite subjective ( heeks 2002,Currie 1995,Bannister..)
Planning â> Development â> Release and Promotion â> Maintenance
1. Planning â involves the following task (but not limited to):
Conceptualizing your project project
Researching on available data about your topic
Setting deadlines and meetings
Assigning people to various tasks
Finding a web or blog host
Creating a site map for tour website
Listing down all applications, that you need including web apps
Before starting your project, your group should be able to do the necessary paperwork. This allows experts to see if your project is doable over the time frame that was given and if it is significant enough to be made into reality.
A concept paper is a document used to convince a panel of potential funders to help a product, program, or service to become a reality.
There are five elements of a concept paper:
1.Introduction-includes tour groupâs mission and vision and a brief introduction of your project.
Purpose-includes the reasons why this project is worth your group and your sponsorâs time, effort and money.
3.Description-includes all the necessary information about the project. In ICT, it involves the sites you are going to produce and the purpose of each and how they work in unison.
4.Support-contains the budget needed for the project. Some concept papers do not specify any amount requested from the sponsor.
5.Contact information-includes information on how the group be contacted.
2. Development â involves the actual creation of the website(s), involves the production of images, infographics, etc.
3. Release and Promotion â involves the actual release of the website for public view and promoting it. Promotion typically starts before the actual release.
4. Maintenance â involves responding to feedback of your site visitors and continuing to improve your website.
