Jacob’s attitude wasn’t surprising, but it did sometimes ruin moments they had together. Not this one of course.

“It’s my dad. He’s dying, and...I don’t know how long he has left to live. I told him I wanted him to be bitten since he’s human again...but he doesn’t...he doesn’t want to. If he goes, then I have nobody left...blood wise anyways. Rachel and Rebecca never want to come home anymore, they don’t even visit.” He sat down on a rock and sighed, trying to be brave, but he wasn’t very good at it. “I don’t know what to do. I feel like...once he goes, I should too.”

“Come on Jacob, you’re a wolf, you should be used to hiking.” Edward grinned, turning to look at him. “Plus it’s a nice day out, and I decided it’d be perfect for hiking. And I haven’t hunted so…”

“I am used to it, I just don’t like doing it as much anymore. I did it a lot when I was Human. But whatever, today was your pick anyways.” He was kind of in a bad mood. “And no, I don’t want to talk about it.” He says as he walks over to stand beside him. He was taking a break from all the walking.
