Been quite awhile since I’ve posted anything, I've been busy with work but I posted a new demo reel.
Back in June myself and a bunch of guys I currently; or have worked with in the past won funding for an app we are developing called Club Dino. It is the brain child of David Wilson who is a fantastic guy and animator. It is going to be used in conjunction with the Club Caveman app that is currently in app store. Rigging the Dino' has been super fun and I'll share more when I can :D.
One of my kids favorite Christmas book is Santa Claus the World's Number One Toy Expert by Marla Frazee. It's a great book and her character design of Santa is amazing, this is a shout out to her Santa design, it's a super fun character and it's a WIP.
Growing up, my brothers and I spent many an afternoon watching Batman:The Animated Series. Bruce Timm has always been an inspiration, and as far as I'm concerned Batman characters are suppose to look like his designs. This is a WIP of Poison Ivy based on his designs. The base has been a struggle trying to get to look right, I've included some exploration ideas for the base...I also obviously reworked the color too.
As a character rigger knowing and understanding anatomy is a big part of what I do. These are some Zbrush anatomy studies. I'll eventually do the hands, feet, legs and head, plus a full figure. Theses have been really fun to do and very educational, wish I had more time to do more...
During my free time I've been learning Zbrush and have really enjoyed it. I work with some great guys like Shane Olson and Ian Jacobs who have helped me learn the ropes. The is the fist real project I did and it turned out much better than I thought. I'll post more Zbrush projects as I do them. I sued this art work for my Cyclops inspiration...
We released Disney Infinity last fall, I, along with the other riggers rigged all the characters for this game. It has done really well and it was a blast working with so many great characters. Go get it if you haven't already...
