@shimasaniwa
[It’s the middle of the night and he’s feeling Concerned.]
[He should really figure out what to do before he goes over to Hanabi’s. He might end up being late, but he wants to try to find a reasonable costume that won’t interfere with his tendency to be... wet.]
[There’s also the matter of who to take with him. Maybe he should sneak out and go alone? No, that might cause trouble...]
flow-or-crash liked your post:[He was going to go bother...
[He couldn’t bring himself to bother anyone. He’s sitting down with paper, brush, and ink in an attempt to write something out. He only gets a few characters in before he ends up scrapping it and starting over. This may be a while.]
[He was going to go bother Kasen for writing a thank you note, but now that he’s almost back to the shrine he’s having second thoughts. Kasen is probably busy, like everyone else, and he doesn’t want to be a bother. He could just write a note himself, right? He’s sure Hanabi won’t mind his bad handwriting.]
flow-or-crash:
(He rolls up, anticipating your reaction to the little chocolate bats. Sweet, yet not cloying.)
(If you’ve got a Kasen, you know this handwriting, because this sure as hell isn’t Hanabi’s.)
(A Halloween gathering for all the saniwa– that is, all of the saniwa– is set for the eve of the 27th, in Niigata Citadel. Food! Games! Drinks! Horrors! Costumes optional but encouraged! Guest rooms are available should anyone be too inebriated to time travel! Guests are not limited, but do be mindful.)
Guests are not limited, but do be mindful... I guess I can’t really take everyone, but I should definitely make sure whoever goes behaves themselves, right? Nihongou might drink everything before anyone else can get any. He’s definitely staying home.
[He said he was going to only eat one cookie, but he’s already on his second as he considers.]
Well, at least I have time to think on it. Oh, can you hold on before you return? I’d like to send her a thank you note back. I think I can ask Kasen to write one.
flow-or-crash replied to your post: (A familiar friend has washed up on the beach!...
(The spherical seal – a spheal, if you will– delights in the pets, rolls in them, luxuriates. Inside the bag is a small batch of bat-shaped cookies and an invite to a Halloween party at Hanabi’s!)
A Halloween party... I guess it is that time of the month. I guess time really flies when you’re busy doing stuff. I haven’t really spent any time with any of the other saniwa.
[A pat to the spheal and he opens up the invitation to read while also trying out one of the cookies-- it’s going to take a lot of strength not to eat them all by himself.]
(A familiar friend has washed up on the beach! It’s that small seal orb that Hanabi brought with her to the party, and tied to him is a little bag with an invitation and bat cookies inside!)
Oh. Hello.
[Good timing, considering he was returning from a small walk on the shoreline. He kneels down in the sand and pats the seal orb on the head and carefully takes the invitation and cookies.]
What’s this you brought me?
[Meanwhile, enjoying a 7-hour delayed audio stream of E3 2018...]
I didn’t realize there used to be so many zombie apocalyptic games. Neat. I wonder what the graphics on this older stuff looks like.
[Shoves another handful of chips in his mouth.]
flow-or-crash:
Whaaaaaaat!!
What kinda dragon, are you like a little baby dragon or more big and majestic? I guess that explains why you like the water so much, huh?
Kind of... a baby by dragon standards... I’m still growing! I’m not big and majestic quite yet. A lot of my guys are though since they’re a lot older! Their dragon forms are coming in nicely.
Yeah, it does. I mean I didn’t make that association really, it runs in the family sort of. I think it was a pretty well-kept secret since I never knew about it.
saniwabito:
-She’s letting go with one last squeeze. Is it too sensual, Kai? She just wasn’t thinking there for a few moments. She soon parts.-
It’s okay? I only know since I’m still a Mom-in-Training and it’s relatively recent. There’s other stuff you might like and I dunno… you’ll figure it some of it once you’ve done it. Like managing your manaflow!
You’ve already done that, though. I’m absolutely proud!
-She’s blushing at that compliment?-
Now then… I don’t want to keep you from having a good rest of the night as host and all.
… A-And, thank you for inviting me over. I don’t get invited out often. It means a lot to me to be thought of as a part of the lives of my friends, too.
[It’s okay, his heart is in the right place so it’s not effecting him too harshly. He is sort of confused there? He got kind of heated up there for a sec?]
You aren’t keeping me from having a good time! It’s okay!
I... want to invite you over more but I feel bad inviting you over so late and all. I hate to invite you to the beach and not letting you come over when it’s sunny and nice. It’s too bad we can’t figure out a way for you to enjoy it here like everyone else does.
flow-or-crash:
Here’s hoping you never have to.
There’s… there’s a lot of crystals, in my time. At least these kind have their uses for like, emergency stuff, or like… oddly contrived circumstan
you’re part what
(Ain’t no lettin’ that slip under the radar.)
That’s so cool!!! What other stuff can you do?
O-Oh, I’m a dragon! Part dragon? It’s a little vague.
Um, to make it simple my family serves under the god Ryuujin and I accepted his blessing and took part in a ritual that me and my swords part dragon! I can do a little bit better magic now and turn into a dragon.
I have to be careful, I’m still learning it. If I get too tired I’ll turn into a dragon and it takes a while to turn back. I basically run on water now.
flow-or-crash:
Woah, I didn’t know you could do that.
(A teal crystal is inside, carrying a gold engraving of the sea king star’s symbol. Coming from a world where magic is commonplace, their charms are actually, well, charmed. There’s a cool energy coming from it, deep as the ocean blue. Underneath, a small blurb with information.)
(”The depths of what one will endure for their loved ones is deeper than any ocean. Carry the charm of the Guardian of the Sea, and this vessel will endure that pain in your stead when you can take no more, so you may keep fighting for your love. Should this happen, the crystal will break and must be disposed of, for it will not offer its protection again.”)
(…Sooooo… a substitute doll, but it’s a crystal? Of course everything is crystal in the future.)
It’s… kinda silly, I know. But this job gets dangerous, and I wanted to give something that could help protect you, at least until we see each other again.
And, well… it was sea-themed….
Oh, I’m part dragon. I can do um... lot of weird stuff now.
This is... actually really cool? Thank you so much? I really like it a lot and it’s pretty too! I wish I had this sooner, but I don’t think I have to worry about dying again any time soon. Hopefully.
saniwabito:
-She smiles, and oh god she’s taking in the emotions with it as well. Watching and tasting as he looks over each thing brings out something with each surprise, and she wonders for a moment if this is how Merlin himself feels.-
-Even if there might be reproductions for her touch–she’s careful with just brushing her hand over the top of his head to pat before drawing him into a hug.-
It’s fine, I’m–I’m sorry I brought you to tears, but… I hope it’s helpful, if just a bit? They’ll probably hatch soon, I bet.
Plus, I mean…
I’m proud of you? I hope we have a lot more fun years together.
[He remains oblivious to the emotion buffet he’s supplying and quickly falls into a hug. He takes a moment to get himself together, not sure why his face suddenly feels so red. It’s probably the crying.]
It is! It definitely is. I mean, I should have been getting this stuff myself but I didn’t even know where to begin. This really helps a lot! I don’t think I know any more about raising a kid than the guys here do.
Thank you so much... and thank you for being a good teacher to me. I wanna work really hard to be a saniwa you can keep being proud of!
saniwabito:
Sometimes you gotta have a knife when you’re a small guy in a big world. I digress…
-She watches him do the cool claw thing.-
I know it’s all rather simple, but I know out here on the island, and around guys who don’t know about this thing. For when they hatch.
-It’s honestly a sizable amount of non-perishable baby supplies. A large crib filled neatly with toys. They’re all rather traditional or mechanical, without need for hard to supply batteries. A few necessities like a cute seafoam-colored diaper bag and a soft blanket are there.-
-Under that, though, there’s actually a formal kimono for Kai, with a haori that matches her own, packed in a plastic box to keep it clean.-
Plus, I gotta look like a teacher sometimes. I know we started out with breathing exercises and meditation at first, and sometime we only get to have lessons via text or phone call… But I imagine it’s hard to have formal wear fitted and brought out here.
Thanks, for letting me get to teach you.
[Claws retracting, he finally gets to go through the box and see what it is.]
[There’s a lot here to take in and he’s really amazed at how thoughtful all this is. These are most definitely all things he’s going to need and more importantly a lot of it puts into account there isn’t much especially in terms of electricity or batteries on the island.]
[The colors are all spot on aesthetic and then he gets to the bottom and finds the kimono last, slowly taking it out. He’s just sort of standing there and holding it before he makes a noise and puts his hand to his mouth and rubs at his eyes.]
Memeko... this is... this is the best thing anyone could have even given to me!! Thank you so much! I’m-- I’m sorry, I’m crying!! I can’t help it!
flow-or-crash:
I’m glad you thought of me, thank you for having me here! I haven’t seen you in so long, it’s good to see you’re doing well!
He found me well enough. He’s a very clever bird.
(A gift is presented! It’s a small box wrapped in glittery, gold-colored paper. You’re going to have glitter stuck to you for days.)
For you. Happy birthday!
Oh, I was thinking of all the saniwa!
Thank you so much though, you really didn’t have to get me anything. I might sound like a broken record for telling that to everyone... I’m just glad people were able to come.
[He changes his nails to claws once more, but this time makes sure to be extra careful with opening up a smaller box.]
[Last he saw, his Mitsutada was in the kitchen with his Hasebe. Hopefully they haven’t killed each other? He hopes. He might ask Mermko for a get-along sweater if they’re causing trouble.]
where is your gay egg
Tucked into bed! I didn’t want it to get hurt or lost with the party stuff going on, so I made sure everything was safely arranged in my room.
I’m still sort of worried, so I might ask if one of the guys wants to look after it for the night. Someone who... isn’t drinking preferably.
