Admit it, this guy is more excited about Napoleon than you’ll ever be.

Karl XII by Julius Kronberg
Part of a panel from the graphic novel La bataille, about the battle of Aspern-Essling. The officer in the centre is Lannes, though thanks to the hair colour I kept mistaking him for Ney throughout the whole comic.
I was gonna say, he looks far too cocky and sassy to be Ney.
And of course Lannes is standing on both legs at the moment…
You just had to do that, didn’t you.
I think he is Ney, too………………But Ney was in Spain

What if Marshal Michel Ney met King Karl XII?
Another one for the invading Russia train. Maybe if we get enough of those, we might survive the winter.
I’m not really in the Napoleon fandom, so I don’t really know anything about any of the Marshals, but from what i read about him on wikipedia, Ney was known for being brave and good at fighting and generally seems pretty badass. I think Karl XII would like him and probably want him as a commander in his army.
I have no idea what Ney thought of Karl XII, but undoubtedly he would have at least heard of him, and maybe read Voltaire’s biography on him. With both of them being military guys they would at least have had a topic to talk about.
