                PLEDGE TO BE PART OF THE SOLUTION. 

1. Pledge to listen when people choose to confide in you their stories of abuse and rape. Never immediately judge them, speculate, or question the veracity of their story. Victims of abuse are ISOLATED and ALONE; and desperately in need of a listening ear. Be that person they can come to and seek solace from—– you could be the difference between life and death.  2. Pledge to be empathetic and kind to everyone around you. As the old saying goes, “Be Kind; Everyone You Meet is Fighting a Hard Battle.” You don’t know what the person on the other end of the PC is facing. Pledge to be kind and loving—— never an asshole. Pledge to not call people names, stereotype them, patronize, or profile them, bully them. Pledge to treat all people like human beings; worthy of love, kindness, dignity, and respect.  3. Pledge to STAND AGAINST BULLIES AND ATTACKERS. The more we band against this kind of unacceptable behavior, the less it will find a home among us. This means we all must maintain an absolute 1000% no tolerance policy when it comes to abusers, rapists, racists, and bigots. In our efforts to make the world a more peaceful and loving habitation for future generations—– behavior like this simply cannot be allowed to fester.  4. Pledge to be a safe space for victims of abuse. Again, you very well may be the difference between life and death——-merely by listening, understanding, and lending your love and advice to someone in need.                                              Pledge to be part of the solution.
