How unbecoming of a Kunoichi to brag! Lord knew that Ayane saw no harm in a little self-confidence; if someone was good at what they did, there was no reason for them not to take pride in it. Boastful attitudes, however, were a sound of potential weakness as far as she believed. Those who thought to highly of themselves were often the first to let their guards down.
With a shrug of the shoulders and a shake of the head, Ayane scoffed. Her opinion had been made fairly clear â she was hardly taken with this womanâs behaviour. Oh, no, she was certain that a little modesty went a long way. It would be best to ignore, though, that Ayane was all too prone to her own bouts of mild arrogance. Surely, she supposed, there was a difference between refusing to let anyone put you down and introducing yourself as the nationâs best?? Of course, she was one of three Japanese Dead or Alive tournament winners but she opted not to mention that.
