Summary: Saving the universe is hard. Keeping your relationships in check in the face of it all is just a little harder, especially when saving the universe depends on it.

Watching Shiro take the proverbial bullet for Keith (a beam of concentrated quintessence and a chemical called niotem, Lance later learns, used to awaken one’s deepest instincts) leaves pride swelling in his heart and, later, the expectation to take care of Shiro’s more “primal” needs. However, Shiro starts gravitating to Keith in the same way he gravitates to Lance. Learning to love and let go would be the hardest of all, if only Shiro would let go of him.

The closest thing to performing Keith Kogane has ever done was sing in the school choir in his elementary school Christmas Shows. Anything besides that consisted of helping with the set on stage and being Townsfolk #5.

So, it was a huge surprise to him when he agreed to auditioning for Olkarion University’s annual musical, on the condition that Shiro, his longtime best friend and crush, volunteer as a stage hand. This was all a part of an effort Keith vowed to make to be more social and expand his friend circle. He’s tried clubs and social events, but he was never quite able to get the hang of it.

What better way to come out of your shell than to audition for one of the most daring and revolutionary musicals in Broadway history?

Better yet, compete against the raising star of the Theatre School and fall in love with him in the process?

Needless to say, Keith succeeds in getting the role, and ultimately realizes that he was going to get more than he bargained for.

“Matt I’m telling you there were two of them! Two! And they were both so hot,” Shiro moaned, his words surprisingly coherent considering the amount of alcohol he’d drunk. He was leaning heavily on Matt his arm draped over the other man’s shoulders. He stumbled and swayed as he tried to walk but Matt’s firm, guiding arm around his waist kept them mostly walking in a straight line.

“Yes, I know. You’ve already mentioned this several times,” Matt sighed. He grabbed hold of Shiro’s wrist with his free hand and yanked his arm more securely around his shoulders. He’d lost count of the number of times Shiro had mentioned the two men and Matt was getting tired. It wasn’t the first time Shiro had more than one person lusting after him during a night out, but he didn’t usually brag about it this much afterwards.

“But Matt, Matt,” Shiro hissed urgently, he tried to whisper and failed miserably. Matt flinched as Shiro yelled right in his ear. Shiro, of course, didn’t notice.

“They were Vampires, two of them, both Vampires,” Shiro went on. He glanced around furtively as if he expected them to appear from the shadows suddenly.

Ah yes, this was the main reason Shiro kept talking about them, and this was where Matt knew Shiro had too much to drink

Here, at last, is my first chapter of my @shklancebigbang fic, posting on the last day by the skin of my teeth. I have finished this fic so the other chapters will be posted pretty soon once I’ve finished editing.

“Space sadness”- My entry for the @shklancebigbang, based on a fanfic written by erostogape. In the scene, Shiro has been battle damaged from saving Keith, and Keith is upset that Shiro sacrificed himself like that, while Lance is self conscious that Shiro’s heart is moving from him, to Keith instead.

When Lance wakes up onboard an alien ship, he never expects to come face-to-face with a disinherited alien Prince and his human bodyguard. He definitely never expects to fall for both of them.

There was definitely something going on between Shiro and the Prince. That much Lance knew; if only because Shiro kept giving his… employer? Master? Strange looks. Those kinds of strange looks that reminded Lance of eighth grade and that time in kindergarten when he’d been convinced he would marry Stan Burton because Stan Burton had been the master of the biggest bug collection in their year.

Except, in this case, the bug collection was the Galra Empire, and Lance was pretty sure that Shiro didn’t really want that. What Shiro did want, much to Lance’s chagrin, was Prince Kethelsar.

Finally posting my entry for the @shklancebigbang! Thank you so much to the mods for organizing it and to my lovely partner @yainedraws who made some amazing art for the fic!

Here it is! My fic for @shklancebigbang :) Thank you so much to the lovely @ofdiamantes for making beautiful art for this silly idea of mine!

This fic has everything I love, royalty, engagement, miscommunication, falling in love faster than strictly possible…it’s a rollercoaster (it’s definitely been one writing it) and I’m so proud of it.

Summary: Empress Thisbe Kogane of the Galra Empire has decided it’s high time that her son, Keith, found love and happiness. To speed things along, she sent out invites to suitable bachelors across the galaxy for a week-long ball to be hosted on Daibazaal.

Small hitch – Keith is already engaged, to the Earthen ambassador Takashi Shirogane.

Keith figures he’ll get through the ball, announce his engagement to Shiro, avoid offending any guests and all will be well. Keith didn’t anticipate Prince Lance of Altea - charismatic, charming, and far too easy to love – coming through the palace doors and sweeping him and Shiro off their feet.
