It's difficult to overstate how serious I'm being when I say that there is a terrorist cell operating out of Columbia University and no one is doing anything about it. I am not being hysterical. I am not exaggerating. There is a terrorist cell operating out of Columbia University. This is a matter of totally open record and no one is doing anything serious to deal with it.

-The Columbia chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine was shut down after an investigation into their funding under the Biden administration found that they were being partially funded by Hamas.

-This resulted in no arrests or expulsions, and the organization was allowed to rebrand as CUAD under the same leadership.

-Student organizers from the Columbia branches of SJP, CUAD, JVP, WoL, and other organizations are currently being sued in federal court for allegedly knowing about the Oct 7th terror attacks in advance.

-Court documents show that these student leaders had produced propaganda supporting the Oct 7th attacks before they had occurred, and were using Hamas's code name for the attacks before it was made public.

-THREE separate hostages have now gone on legal record stating that Columbia students were extensively coordinating with at least one member of Hamas who kept them captive, and that this member of Hamas told them that their coordination with Columbia University student leaders (and other student leaders) is/was extensive.

-The Columbia student defendants in this lawsuit have not denied that they coordinated with members of Hamas, only claiming that they were "unaware" he was a member of Hamas. This is despite the fact that the Hamas member who kept the hostages captive, Abdallah Aljamal, was completely open about his affiliation on social media.

This does not even scratch the surface of the raging antisemitism, overt Hamas support, and felony level hate crimes that Columbia University students have engaged in en mass over the past year and a half. It's also not even scratching the surface of the broader connections many of the parent organizations of Columbia "activist" branches have to terrorist organizations (nearly all of them have been caught funneling money into terrorist organizations.) This is just focusing on the direct involvement of Columbia student leaders specifically, with Hamas and the Oct 7th attacks.

Genuinely, what is going on right now? All of this is public information and yet it isn't being reported on at all? A lot of these students should be in federal prison, and yet they're not even being suspended, and the media consistently presents them as peaceful protesters who are being unfairly called antisemitic.

I don't know what to do anymore, I really don't. Even the broader Jewish community doesn't seem to be aware of what's going on here and just how literally Columbia University students are operating an actual terrorist cell. But it's happening whether people talk about it or not! I can't take this anymore.

At a time where jewish groups are being banned from pride events, you do not get to use Anne Franke, a dead jew murdered for being jewish before she could ever come out, as a puppet for whatever queer rights message you want to share.

You do not get to profit, financially or attention wise or another way, off of a *potentially* queer jew whilst we are banned from pride events.

We do not know if she was questioning her sexuality but ultimately straight or if she was actually queer because she was killed for the crime of existing as a jew before she could come out. Queer rights obviously matter. Anne Franke is not the person you should be using.

You need to protect alive queer jews. You need to love all jews, not just the dead ones.

Monument in memory of the Jews who were killed in the Farhud which took place in Iraq.  The monument is located in Ramat Gan, Israel; 2010. x

On this day in history, June 1st and 2nd in 1941, the Farhud, a pogrom, took place across Iraq and claimed the lives of over 700 Jewish people with more than a thousand injured.  The Farhud began because of a failed coup from Nazi sympathizing Officers in the Iraqi army.  Nazi Germany had also worked with Arab Nationalists and, through them, spread antisemitic propaganda through both Radio Berlin and local radio stations.  The failed coup, suspected Jewish collusion with British authorities [see antisemitic ‘duel loyalty’ trope], and antisemitic propaganda all mixed to create an explosion of violence against Iraq’s Jewish population - which by 1941 was over 150,000 strong.  The Iraqi Jewish community would all but end with Saddam’s rise to power, as the central government put restrictions on the life of Iraq’s Jewish population starting in 1948. Operation Ezra & Nehemia airlifted 120,000 Iraqi Jews out of the country in 1948 and brought them to Israel.

Today, November 30th, is Jewish Refugee day or Yom HaPlitim (יום הפליטים), and we remember their stories.

Their arrival came amid a mass exodus triggered by escalating persecution in Iraq, including violent pogroms such as the 1941 Farhud, during which Jewish homes and businesses were looted and many civilians including children were murdered and wounded. Jewish girls were publicly raped. The community also faced targeted assassinations, public executions such as the infamous Baghdad hangings, and a series of bombings in 1950–1951 aimed at Iraq's Jewish community. In the late 1940s and early 1950s, Jews in Iraq were frequently arrested on fabricated charges, tortured in prison, and subjected to the banning of communal, religious and political activity. These pressures finally peaked in state-sanctioned expropriation, revocation of citizenship, and forced expatriation.

In 1951, 120,000 Iraqi Jews were issued passports for the sole purpose of emigration known as passports of No Return. A prerequisite was the waiving of all property and monetary belongings.

By the 1930s, Jews made up roughly a quarter of Baghdad’s total population, and by 1945 around 135,000 Jews lived across Iraq. Today only a handful remain.

This end of the millenia old Babylonian Jewish exile is referred to as Sant al-Tasqit.

This pattern was varied and repeated in every country across SWANA.

The trouble with a lot of this, the “punch a nazi” website, is that much of its supposedly leftist user base can’t tell a nazi or nazi talking points apart from a rock. A lot of people will talk about supporting Jews and the Jewish community, but this website’s userbase has also effectively ghettoized most its Jewish users. You don’t hear them talking about how terrified they are about the uptick in antisemitism from all parts of the political spectrum because you’ve blocked them all. Any post on Judaism, no matter how innocuous, it could be a cute picture of a cat in front of a plate of hamantaschen, that does make it through ends up being flooded with antisemitic comments. Because you’ve effectively allowed much of this website to become a nazi bar.
