Some of the ill effects of prolonged UV exposure include:
* Sun Burn - Too much exposure to sun causes itchy, dryness and redness of the skin which is sensitive and burns on touching, in worst cases blisters occur on the skin.
* Heat Stroke - Heat stroke occurs due to too much heat exposure that results in the body becoming unable to control its temperature that rises rapidly, its sweating mechanism fails, and the body is unable to cool down.
* Skin Cancer - This is caused by too much exposure to UV rays, the UV rays penetrate the skin and lead to the development of cancer.
* Eye Damage - Long term exposure of naked to sunlight increase chances of developing eye diseases.
While the cure for the above could be costly enough, prevention is dead cheap. All you have to do is stay in shade, drink adequate amounts of fluids, apply SPF 15 creams and most importantly never forget to wear UV resistant sun glasses.
Wishing you a safe and healthy summer!
